Sometimes they go awry. What seemed like such a great idea in my head did not translate to my card. I stamped this Penny Black stamp in Versafine black and embossed in clear embossing powder. So far, so good. Then the magic didn't happen. The intent was to color in the flowers and leaves with metallic pencils, which I did. It didn't come out vibrant like I pictured and you can barely see the color. It looks a bit better in person but I was disappointed. Sometimes that happens but that's how we learn. I learned not to do that again.
I've found if I type too long my wrists will bother me, so I am trying to comment and visit, but I'm keeping my comments shorter for now. Thanks for understanding.

I think the soft pretty soft colors are a nice contrast, Brenda! To me, the card looks stunning, so pretty!
I hope you like this better today, Brenda. Sometimes it just takes a different mood to like something. I think the soft contrast is very serene and soothing and someone will be delighted to receive it. Don't overdo it on your wrists. Short comments are much better than you being in pain.
I love your card. It has so much elegance with the embossing and the soft colors work well with that look too. Save the wrists...so understand how typing can affect them. I have times when I need to make shorter comments as well.

Well, hmmm, I hate to tell you, Brenda, but the picture you managed to take of your card beautifully captures the metallic impact of those pencils, so you ended up with a photo that doesn't match what your words say. Next time a card doesn't turn out, show a photo of its "bad side," lol! I think it really is fantastic! I think your card is just beautiful Brenda! But I know what you mean about things not turning out like what is in your head. Just a tip, maybe try coloring your areas in white first, then color on top of the white with your metallic pencils. The color will be more vibrant I would think because it would be on top of the white. Do a little test and see how it works out. I still think your card is beautiful just the way it is, but if more vibrancy is what you want, try that. You just worry about taking care of those hands and wrists and don't worry about long comments! Hugs, Brenda
Personally I like the delicate colouring of the embossed flowers. So subtle. Finding typing jars my shoulder too so only comment in short bursts on my iPad but predictive text drives me mad. I spend twice as long correcting the typos and end up only commenting on about four posts. Hugs Mrs A.
