Stormy night

Straight line winds went through our area last night and did some damage. The high school where my sons went had a part of the roof blown off and some damage to a bank, Taco Bell, apartments and homes in Beech Grove. Rain and wind like I've never heard before. Lots of flood warnings.  Also southern Indiana had a hard night. Lisa, are you okay?

Staying off the computer has helped my hands so much. Also, crafting in segments has worked wonders.  I check email and get off. The card today took several days and I'm glad it did. The first time I water colored it I didn't like it. But when I stopped and left it alone it magically fixed itself! Kind of like when I cook. If I put it in the oven or slow cooker and leave the food alone it comes out fine. Then I went back and added more color to shade and I like it. I'm posting it in CAS watercolor, something blue. It is a Penny Black flower and an Altenew sentiment.

Be kind to one another.

Wow--wish my cards fixed themselves like this! What a beauty, Brenda! I have that stamp or a similar one & have never even used it, but maybe now I will! How scary that storm must have been! We constantly are reminded how great we have it here--hush--don't let out the secret--haha! So happy the resting is having results for you. Keep it up!

This is just lovely!! I'm glad resting is helping your hands too, but you knocked out a fabulous card here today! Glad you were OK with the wicked weather. It's heading our way here in PA later today and into the greater portion of the week, so we're keeping our fingers crossed and hoping for the best! Take care!

Hello, my friend!! I'm so glad you are okay after the storms and yes, I'm fine!! Thank you for checking :) We did have three tornadoes that touched down in northern Monroe county and destroyed some buildings. I did have to spend the evening in the basement with the sirens going off, but other than some downed limbs, all is fine. We didn't even lose power. Whew. So glad it's over.

Your card is absolutely stunning!! The flowers look amazing!! I love the colors!! Have a great day!! Big hugs :)

Oh, my Brenda. It sound like you had a scary night! I'm glad you're OK but how scary! Your watercolor flowers are beautiful! Great shading and I love that shade of blue! Thanks so much for sharing with us at CAS Watercolour! Keep on resting those wrists so they get completely better.

Oh, so sorry to hear about the storm damage in your area! Crazy weather we have been having! Lots of rain continues in our area, too...poor farmers! Your card is very pretty with the gorgeous blue, which is one of my favorite colors! I do the same thing at times...step away...come back and voila...magic happens! Take care and have a wonderful week!

Absolutely gorgeous card and I love the wonderful colors. So glad it cured itself as it sure looks great to me. And, I am glad you are okay and hope no one got injured or killed with the storm. We know how devastating straight line winds can do to an area. We had several of our trees toppled with one we had with winds around 100 miles an hour one year. We even had a tree go through the roof of our house. Not fun but the good thing is that we were okay.

Sorry to hear about the terrible storm and damage. I hope everyone is OK. Glad to hear that you are good and that the break from computing is working to ease your pain. Keep it up and don't stay on-line for too long!

Your flower is GORGEOUS Brenda! I love this image and love the turquoise you've used with bright green. So pretty!! Isn't it funny how watercolours always look better the next day. ;) I wouldn't say that mine fix themselves ... you are so lucky for that, but I know I tend to see them in a new light the next day and they look better. Thanks so much for sharing with us at CAS Watercolour! xx
