We didn't get the freezing rain yesterday but we did overnight. Poor Molly had a hard time when she went out this morning. Sliding all over the patio. I have salted it since the temps will be cold all day so it won't melt. I worked on my cards all day yesterday for the

I have been looking forward to this all of January so I could play again. I see I am not the only one who thought shamrock when I saw the "hearts" word. I don't make many St. Patrick Day cards, just for the family, but I wanted to do this one. I used the smallest Heart die from Kat Scrappiness to make the petals. They are enclosed by a Die-Namics called Linked chain circle frames. The sentiment is Teeny Tiny Wishes from SU. I added a few green sequins from my stash. My second card is a birthday card using colored vellum from We R Memory Keepers pack and cut with the same heart die to use as balloons. The cat is Tim Holtz and the frame is Pretty Pink Posh Scallop Frames. The sentiment is Lawn Fawn. Be kind to one another.

Great ways of using the heart for your cards. Love the shamrocks (and that was one of my thoughts too) and also the balloons. So glad you were feeling well enough to join in too. I am still in the thinking stage. LOL

Oh wow--you nailed the challenge, Brenda! These are both terrific! Freezing rain is the absolute worst in my book--poor Molly! Stay safe, my friend!

These are both so gorgeous!! I love the heart shamrock and the balloons!! That kitty is too cute!! Love them both!! We have the freezing rain, too. Actually, it's just rain, but the temps are going to drop and freeze it, so tomorrow will be treacherous. Have a great day!! Big hugs :)

It will be fun having lots of St. Patty's cards in the gallery! Just like having lots of Valentines or anniversary cards, each one is different. I really love your St. Pat's design, Brenda! Adding that link circle around your lucky four-leaf clover is a great design feature on your crisp white and green card! And your karazy cat birthday card makes me smile! Great job drawing the lines for your fabulous vellum heart balloons! That cat's face is priceless! You (and Molly) be careful in that cold and ice and thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #2!! Hugs, Darnell

Two fun designs Brenda. Love your beautiful shamrock ... such a clever way to use hearts! And your vellum balloons are so pretty. Love the transparency of them. So fun with the cat holding the strings! :) Thanks for joining us at Twofer Card Challenge!

Oh Brenda, I hate that you got freezing rain. We got it last week and Superbowl Sunday and I was stuck in the house all week as I couldn't get to the garage because of the ice. Just wasn't risking falling! You don't either please!!!! Hopefully the temps will rise above freeze letting that salt do the work for you. I love, love, love your cards my friend! The shamrock/clover is perfect and I love that die you have framing it. The hearts make great balloons on the second card! I love that the cat is holding them down, so cute! Well done with this challenge Brenda! Now stay safe on that ice! Big hugs, Brenda

What a fabulous bold shamrock, Brenda ... great creative use of the hearts ... the chain link frame is fabulous with it, puts me in mind of celtic knots! That quirky cat is so fun ... love how you have him clutching those celebratory vellum heart balloons! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer!

Love how you framed your shamrock with this pretty linked chain circle and how you added some sequins for sparkles. The cat makes me chuckle how it holds down the fun vellum balloons with its paw! Great designs!
Thanks for joining us at the Twofer!

Love your heart shamrock (one down for St. Pat!) and this stamp looks great again as the balloons the kitty is holding down. I like the presentation on both of these cute & clever cards! TFS (and yes, my thoughts were leaning this way too as I need to work on St. Pat's. Just got to find the right size heart to work!) TFS & Hugs

That really is thinking outside of the box. I love both of these. Hope your staying safe and warm in the cold weather. It is getting very cold here in the UK. We are in for a cold snap almost across the whole of the country. It's minus degrees here tonight. Hugs Mrs A.

2 wonderful cards! The heart works so nicely as the balloons and as a 4-leaf clover :)
