The rain has stopped after 33 hours. It is trying to come again this morning but it won't be like it has been. I am going the the funeral of my next door neighbor today. The lady two doors down is very ill and just moved to her daughters and the man two doors the other way just passed two weeks ago. Many of my neighbors are elderly but this has been a real blow.

My girlfriend Sharon is having a birthday on the 14th and this is the card I made for her. It is kraft c/s and a PTI die from a set called Make it Market Mini: Garden Gild. The butterflies are stitched dies from a set I won from Poppy Stamps and the sentiment is from Mint Owl. I added a few gems from Hero Arts. Be kind to one another.

Oh wow--stunningly beautiful card, Brenda! I have a terrible time getting that die to cut, but it's so beautiful! Very sad to loose so many friends/neighbors close together. Thinking of you & sending hugs, Greta

Very pretty card....looks almost "store bought" Sorry to hear so many deaths around you. So final isn't it. We must enjoy everyday given to us, card making does that for us and others.

What a simple yet elegant card, Brenda....and I have to say I adore your cats on the earlier post...love those Laurel Birch cats! Hang in their friend, losing friends is very hard, but God always opens windows for us when we need the light! Heart Hugs, Colleen

I'm sorry that the grim reaper had been so hard on the neighborhood, Brenda. That is a harsh way to be reminded of one's own mortality. I hope the sun comes out and the flowers start blooming to bring new life back to the community. Your card for Sharon is one of my favorites you've done. It's gorgeous!! Happy Birthday to her next Sunday!! Love, Darnell

I'm so sorry you lost some neighbors Brenda, that is a hard one especially with your neighborhood being a lot of elderly people. I'm not looking forward to losing my next door neighbors, they are elderly but great neighbors. We did lose the next neighbors in line, my next door neighbor's sister and BIL. It's sad to see the neighborhood change after being here for so long. Lots of rain here too, I'm sick of rain! But can't change it. Rain to come on Friday and Saturday. Might clear for Sunday, time will tell. I so love your card Brenda! It is so elegant, loving those dies! I know your friend will love it too. The white and kraft are so beautiful together! Stay strong my friend. Hugs, Brenda
