I wanted to add something to yesterdays post. The inside of the top flower did not get versamarked well and didn't emboss. After the card was finished I used a Sharpie extra fine point paint pen and filled it in. I don't think you can tell the difference. I also wanted to tell the ladies that don't have the Distress Oxide inks that they sponge so beautifully. Better than the DI we all have. Just so soft and easy to work with. I only have a couple to try but I will probably get some more colors. Pigment inks don't sponge well but these are a combination of dye and pigment and they are a dream to work with. Be kind to one another.

We have sunshine today and it is wonderful. Still chilly but the sun makes such a difference in my mood. You cannot frown when the sun is out. I think that is a law.

Yesterday my SIL and I went to Nashville to pick up a stamp she ordered that was in. Both stamp stores were closed so we had a nice lunch and came home. Molly was at the vet getting the "works" for the year. She's still a little groggy.  They said her liver enzymes are high and wanted to know if she is drinking or wetting more than normal. She is not but I have to watch her. They are worried about Cushings Disease.

Today's card is for my SU demos birthday next month. This is an older 2003 SU stamp from the Scented Garden set, white emobssed and sponged with Distress Oxide broken china. I used an Avery Elle oval to cut the front panel out and added a few sequins. The sentiment is from an SU set called Express Yourself. I am very excited about using my older supplies and stamps. I don't think it will keep me from ordering new things but at least I am using what I have! A good mix of  an old stamp and new ink for this card. Be kind to one another.

A perfect rainy day today to stay in and craft.  I've been watching the basketball playoffs and all of our state teams are out of it. I did get a quick card made for Easter. This is a Spellbinder bunny die, Lawn Fawn greeeting and grass and a really old Sizzix die for the eggs. This is a die that has green plastic case and was used in one of those heavy red platforms where you raised the handle up and down rather than being cranked through. Anyone remember those? Be kind to one another.

Greta reminded me I could enter in both the http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/  Layer It Up and http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/ challenge Use more than one punch or die at Simon Says.

Just a reminder that Mary of http://carolinacardsbymaryh.blogspot.com/ has a second drawing for blog candy that ends 3/26.

This card today uses a 2002 SU  lilly stamp colored with Copics, a SB die oval and a sentiment from DeNami. Those little gold circles are from Hero Arts, I'm pretty sure. They, too, are older. A little WOS in the flower centers. We are back to cold today after a Sunday in the 60's. I need to start working at cleaning out the garage but I need a long stretch of time to drag everything out and really reorganize and purge. Hopefully that will happen soon. It's getting me down having all that stuff in the garage. Be kind to one another.

Edited to add: I forgot to mention the paper and Greta https://ggnursecreations.blogspot.com/ asked about it. I did not make it, it is a sheet from a 6x6 pack made by Glitz called Vintage Blue. The pack is a mix of blue and yellows and it is lovely. I've had it a long time too and I'm going to start using up my papers.

Top Of The Morning To You. Or Happy St. Patrick's Day. It's raining today and our downtown canal is green. Since there is so much going on this weekend in town a lot of people will see it this year. The Mayor does that every year as it is traditional for Indy.

I'm officially into making my Easter cards now. Today I am sharing a card that came out so cute. The "old" stuff is the paper and button. The paper is a DCWV called Nana's Nursery Baby Boy from the scrapbooking days. It is shiny, sparkly and raised. There is a pack for girls too. The papers are decorated with animals, stripes and words. The plain ones are soft colors of blue, green, yellow and lavender. Some of the plain ones are usable for anything. You will see more of these to come. The little chick is SU and the greeting is Lawn Fawn. Be kind to one another.

I want to give a shout out for some new blog candy from our fellow bloggers. Mary of http://carolinacardsbymaryh.blogspot.com/ has candy to offer to celebrate her fifth blogaversary and also candy from http://indymermaid.blogspot.com/ to celebrate her 6th anniversary of blogging.  Both ladies are wonderful cardmakers and fun to get to know. I hope you will stop by their blogs and say hello.

I'm bringing back "old stuff". As I was going through my supplies to find Easter things I came across items stored in the other room. When I started this wonderful journey of scrapping and stamping I was working and felt like I had to buy things so when I retired I would have things to work with. So I did! At that time QVC had a wonderful craft day every few months and had terrific kits. Okay, to my point. I have things I purchased for scrapbooking that I don't use. I have epoxy stickers, eyelets and brads in every color, buttons, ribbons and now 84 million sequins. I also have sheets of things that look like snaps that I have never used.  Along  with stickles in every color I now have Nuvo drops in matt and sparkle. I have markers from every company that makes them and tapes and glue and refills. I forgot to mention stickers and letter stickers. My point being, I have to use these things old and new. Don't be alarmed when you see these things on my cards as I don't scrapbook anymore. I bought everything because I loved it so I want to showcase these products on my cards even if they are old. I did just that recently on a birthday card I made for a cherished friend and also used stamping and I loved the card. So I'm showing you this card today. I used an epoxy sticker frame and an old SU stamp. I hope this post makes you think of what you have put away and need to use too. Darnell's NBUS will be here soon and maybe this will prompt you to hunt up "stuff". I hope I am not alone. Be kind to one another and to those in the snow areas, be safe.

Taxes are done and I'm so happy. I liked my new guy very much and he was very good. Plus I had taken everything I needed. He is pretty far north of here so I'm glad I had everything. The kitchen sink was very heavy but I took it just in case! (just kidding).

My card today is the second one for my tax lady, Carolyn. I forgot to take a picture of the first one! I am entering this card for http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.com/ and also http://casmixup.blogspot.ca/.  The challenge is Mainly Teal at LIM and Stamping, smooshing and your choice at CAS MixUp.  I'm just getting in on time at LIM as getting the tax stuff together was taking a lot of time. I smooshed Inka Gold on cardstock and cut out a rectangle with Lil' Inkers die. The dragonflys are SU covered with Stickles. I used Taken with Teal SU ink to stamp the Wplus9 sentiment and added several Pretty Pink Posh sequins. So I used teal, stamped the sentiment and used die cuts to complete the challenges. Be kind to one another.

Tax day today. I finally got my act together and am going to the tax man. I found that my tax lady had a stroke last year and is not able to do them anymore. She is such a great person and not doing well as her cancer is back too. I will be sending her cards as she goes through this.

This is my last St. Patricks day card and I made two of these. It is based on the sketch  from LIM last week.  Quick and easy and using the same Lawn Fawn set and some metallic paper I picked up  from Endless Designs at the Heirloom Show many, many years ago. Be kind to one another and don't blow away in these winds.

Here is my second St. Patricks Day card. I used a Darice embossing folder on both the white and green cardstock, the shamrock from Lawn Fawn, and the same ribbon and sequins from the previous card. I used a snippet of green cardstock to make the square so I'm popping over to http://pixiescraftyworkshop.blogspot.com/2017/03/pixies-snippets-playground-week-271-and.html and entering this card. Be kind to one another.

Winter is back with temps in the 20's. Can't keep up with it. I'm starting my several St. Patrick Day cards that http://carolinacardsbymaryh.blogspot.com/ inspired me to do. She makes some and I only make them for the grands. This card was inspired by http://akeptlife.blogspot.com. Again, I didn't have any of the supplies she used but I had several that would do. I used a Sizzix thinlits die for the corner cutout, Jo Ann ribbon, Lawn Fawn shamrocks and a SU Teeny Tiny Wishes sentiment with generic sequins. I used a Spectrum Noir sparkle pen over the green cardstock under the cut out corner for a little shine. I don't think it shows up well. Be kind to one another.

Oh my did we have wicked storms roll through Monday night - Tuesday morning. Lots of wind and rain, thunder and lightning. We are fortunate that there was not too much damage. My heart goes out to all those who had tornadoes and flooding.

My card today is an Easter card made with a really old 2001 SU stamp and colored with Copics. I used two strips of paper and a Lawn Fawn grass die and a DeNami  Design sentiment. I am entering this is http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.com/ Clean and Simple. I really like the look of clean. It really makes the focus stand out. I am so late in getting this in the challenge, but still in time. Be kind to one another.
