My granddaughters are here for a few days. It's hard to get them together because the oldest one works as a nanny. That family is on vacation this past week so she was able to come and spend some time with me. I have so much fun with these girls. They have a great sense of humor and we laugh the whole time they're here.  I made this card for my girlfriends birthday. I used to work for her and we have stayed good friends. She used to make cards but has gotten out of it for a while as she is still working full time and just moved to a new home. I am entering it into the http://addictedtostamps-challenge.blogspot.com/. I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder sponged with Distress Inks. The frame is Mama Elephant and the cupcake is a Stampin' Up punch. The frosting is a Marvy Snow Marker and WOS on the cherry.  The sprinkles are Copic markers. The cupcake paper is embossed with a Stampin' Up embossing folder.  Be kind to one another and pray for those in Dallas and for this violence to end.

I am also going to enter this card in http://virginiasviewchallenge.blogspot.com/ coloring fun.

Wonderful look with the C/B EF...You've made this look just so pretty with the pastel sponging over the embossing and particularly with the scallop frame showing it off. The yummy cupcake was perfect as an embellie on this bday card too. Glad your grand is there with you, and you guys just enjoy each other.

Glad your enjoying your time with your grandchildren. Have just seen a technique using chalks to create a background on an embossed card. Yours using distress inks looks very pretty. Hugs Mrs A.

What a bright and happy birthday card Brenda. I love how you inked over the embossing - it really makes it pop.

What a fun and festive birthday card for your friend Brenda! I love the colors you used, the cupcake is just to sweet and I love, love the scalloped opening of your card. Having the grands around must be so much comfort for you Brenda. You have older ones and I'm sure they are a lot of fun. We need times like this to have some good laughs, laughing is so good for us as well. I'm so glad you got this time with the girls my friend! Hugs, Brenda
