I am so very sad about the shooting in Orlando. So many lives lost and they need our prayers. My heart goes out to the parents who are still waiting for word of their loved ones.

I am still making birthday cards and I'm actually entering two challenges. The first one is for http://thepaperplayers.blogspot.com/ whose challenge is red, white and blue and the second one is for http://cas-ualfridays.blogspot.com/ for floral. Edited to add a challenge at DL Art http://dianamlarson.blogspot.com/2016/06/dlart-thankful-thursday-challenge-182.html from my friend Lisa at http://indymermaid.blogspot.com/.

Two of my grandchildren are coming today for a few days. I didn't get to spend time with them over spring break because they both went to Florida with friends. So I'm getting my time in now! Be kind to one another.

Beautiful card, Brenda. I love the embossing folder you've used. Do you know what it's called? x

It is a sad thing isn't it? Why can't people just be nice to each other.
Your embossed background is awesome and I love how you used the red white and blue!

Wow Brenda, that is a stunning background, those folders make the neatest backgrounds, don't they? What a great card but what is even better is spending time with your grandchildren and that they want to stay with you!! Blessings galore!! Have a wonderful time with them!

Wow, that background is impressive! Very cool with your pretty floral image! Great way to use the colors. Have a marvelous time with your grandkids...give them a big hug as they grow up too fast, right?! And thanks for making my colors look so sweet this week!

Yes, my heart is heavy this morning as the news coverage is all about another senseless tragedy. But your card is uplifting! I love all the dimension and the colors, Brenda! I have my 3D e/fs separate from all my others and so you know what that means! Yup, I totally forget about them. Thank you for the reminder! And go you for entering two challenges!!

Have fun! I know you will enjoy those two grandkids!! Love and hugs, Darnell

Love the patriotic colors on this pretty. I see that nifty Next Generation embossing on that deep navy background too. Perfect background for the nice red flower. Glad you're getting in some grandkid time, as I know it will be fun for all of you. It's a wowzer! TFS & Hugs

I know Brenda, it is such a sad time when these shootings happen. You have to be afraid to let your children go any where anymore. I just don't understand these people at all! Your card is simply gorgeous! I love the red/white/blue color combo-naturally my favorite combo! lol Glad to hear you are getting time with the grands!!! Nothing better in the world than to spend time with your grandchildren. Enjoy my friend! Hugs, Brenda
