Get well

All of a sudden I needed get well cards for several people. Two surgeries and one broken hip from a fall. The broken hip is bad because she is my age and will have to be in rehab for a good while. One is my daughter in law who had foot surgery and one is a great card maker friend.

Since I still had my fall "stuff" out, I used the pattern paper to make a couple of cards with it. You know how I love my pattern paper! This Mintay autumn pad was a free gift with a purchase and it is wonderful. Beautiful papers with lots of images to fussy cut. I used a round die to cut the bouquet because everyone who has surgery should have flowers.

I may not be "wonder woman" but I can do things that really make you wonder.

I wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving and I want you to know how thankful I am that you all come to visit and stay to comment even when I'm not making a lot of cards.

Got her done

I have googled and tried everything and cannot get the transfer of pictures to work. I ended up emailing them to myself from my phone, then saving them to my pictures on the computer. It isn't the quickest way but it works.

I finally made an autumn card using a Divinity die and pattern paper. I like the way it came out and really love this Fractured Quilt Landscape die.

I hired a handyman and gave him a to-do list. He only did items 1, 3 and 5. Turns out he only does odd jobs.

Drama

The drama continues. . . I actually made several cards and when I went to post this morning I get a message that says "We could not reach your device". So I can't load new pictures and I'm very tech challenged so I don't know what to do. Any help would be so welcome.

Our snow flurries turned out to be winter jumping right in the middle of our fall. Only got 1.3 inches and that's not much compared to other places, but I was surprised. I'm just not ready for cold. suppose to be 70 tomorrow. I can't keep up!

Since I am so slow, when I get back to posting pictures I will post my latest pictures, then move on to Christmas. At the rate I'm going it will be spring by the time I get them done.

I was at the grocery store next to a lady looking at frozen turkeys. She asked the stock boy if these turkeys get any bigger. He replied with a straight face, "No mam, they're dead".

Snow flurries

Oh dear, I know it's getting colder but snow flurries already! I'm not a fan of cold but no one asked me.

This card is an encouragement card but a fun one too. Everyone needs a boost now and then, especially when things get rough. That's what I was thinking when I purchased this stamp a while ago. Stamped and colored with Copics, matted on plaid paper and sent with love.

Due to the confidentiality of my job, I don't know what I'm doing.

My previous card

The last card I posted went to my great granddaughter who just turned five. My grandson, her dad, and the family came down Tuesday with the news they are having twin girls in March! We are so excited. Wow, four children that by then will be six, two and newborn twins. Oh my gosh. Thank goodness they are young.

This card is for a friend of mine going through a rough time right now and I just wanted to pop in and say hello, how are you doing. I used a wood mounted stamp I've had for a long time and it seemed just right to use for this card.  The embossing folder is a sizzix, also one I've had for a long time. Got to give the older products love too.

We must all do our part for the planet. The other day I unplugged a whole row of electric cars just sitting there not being used.
