When I visited Loll's blog this morning she told us about Patti's story of finding the perfect home, then losing it because the owners backed out. Patti would like some fun cards to cheer her up. I don't know Patti but I made her a card that I imagine is how she felt when she found out they could not get the house. It is DO inks blended on a card front and an Arts Impressions stamp. Be kind to one another.

This card turned out so well I wish you could see it in person. Well, you can if you come over to my house. Call first and make sure I'm home. But anyway it is drops of several different colors of reinker on a paper plate. Then I took a cotton ball and pounced with one color all over a panel of glossy card stock. Let that dry and pounce the next color. They blend together and make a beautiful, shiny background. The stamps are Stampin Up. Be kind to one another.

Talk about the skin of your teeth, that's what I'm doing for the
this month.
The first card is made with Lawn Fawn paper and a spellbinder circle die. The drink was stamped from Stampin Up set Cheers to You and colored with Copics. The sentiment is Hero Arts.
On my second card I sponged Distress Oxide Ink for sky, sand and used SU paper for the water. I stamped the drink glass on orange card stock three times and just cut out the glass, cutting off the strawberry and straw. When I turned them over, they became fish. I added eyes with a black gel pen and used a glitter pen on them. The teeny schools of fish are from an Avery Elle stamp set and the sentiment stamped on the sand is from an Echo Park stamp set. The seaweed is Simon Stamp Says Best Fishes set. I used glossy accents on the drink and bubbles over the fish. I had so much stuff out I almost couldn't find the cards when I was finished. Be kind to one another.

Please know you don't have to drink to be happy.

I'm back from vacation and we had a great time. You do need a vacation from vacation to rest though. After I got home and unpacked, I took a nap. Poor Molly slept for 4 1/2 hours and did not wake when I got crackers out of a package and ate in the same room as her. It was a lot of walking and fresh air and staying up late. We, (meaning Molly and I), still got up at 6:30. Not my choice, but she has to go out. Since it wasn't fenced I had to walk her and with all those wonderful new smells we walked a lot! I was able to get some new goodies at the stamp store so I was happy. We never turned on the tv or looked at any news. It was such a great treat.
This is a card we made at the SU class. I didn't put a sentiment on it yet since it could be used for many things. It is a telescope card and so easy to do. I'll be glad to get back into my normal groove and make some cards soon.
I'll be back to visiting as soon as I get laundry done and rested up. Be kind to one another.

I was without internet this morning for four hours and it seemed like I was cut off from the world! I contacted Comcast after turning off the computer and unplugging the modem. Those are my computer skills, then I call. Now I'm back on and a happy camper.
I would like to welcome Mac Mable as a new follower. I hope you pop in and say hi if you don't already know her. That's why you can't be without internet - you meet such great people.
This is a card we made at SU class. I love the pattern paper and cute design. The colors make me happy and I've got several birthday's coming up so I was happy to make this. Be kind to one another.

Two quick little things today. The Zig glue pen I used for the napkin has a very thick nub that covers a card panel quickly. There is another smaller one that would work but take a long time to do. Also, I wanted to tell you about my entry for the tree Twofer. Several people mentioned the purple rain on it. I made it as a tribute to Prince using purple rain and the sentiment Missing You. That's why the purple rain on the card. Be kind to one another.

I have survived the heat by staying in this weekend and it has cooled off a bit today. Had two pop up rainstorms this morning that were quick but watered the flowers. I'm glad for the reprieve so I can run a few errands.
I received a fun package from my friend, Mia, in the mail. I loved the silver corners she sent in my win so she popped a few more to me in a lovely hand made coin purse. The silver ones are gorgeous but those copper filigree ones are so beautiful. The coin purse will be one I carry because it is big enough to actually get something in. Thanks, Mia.
Today's card was made with a napkin. I used my Zig two way thick point glue pen over a piece of cardstock then smoothed the cut napkin over it. I peeled the backing sheet off of it first. I love how easy it was to do and if I hadn't smeared the ink before it dried on the greeting I would have been much happier. This was so fun and so easy and you know how many napkin choices there are out there. You could become addicted. There's probably an app for that. Be kind to one another and happy July. Can't believe the year is half over.
