Another week has gone by so fast. I wondered what I would do all day when I retired and now I wonder how I had time to work. This has been a week of getting things done. Three more errands today and I should be caught up. How did I really get all this done before when I worked. I didn't do any fun things this past week either. All work, no play - tomorrow is the play day. I do have one card that I made for a sweet friend. I used a Memory Box Piestra Tile die and Memory Box butterflies. and a snippet of pp to make the top butterfly. I actually used a snippet of pp so I am going to enter this in http://pixiescraftyworkshop.blogspot.com/. Be kind to one another.

Turned out to be a busy week. The grands were here Sun. and Mon. Then my granddaughter went home Monday night but my grandson stayed through Tues. We went to the place where he could drive the gocarts. The rest of the week was errands, chores and Friday a friend came and I was able to give her lots of craft stuff. She was just thrilled and wants to start making cards. There was no card making going on all week. This is one I made last week but it didn't photograph well. It has to be the card, it couldn't be my photo skills. The lettering is shadowed so that might be part of the problem. I'm trying to build up my stash along with trying new things. This is using the Stampin Up dies Botanical Builders. Be kind to one another.

I am so very sad about the shooting in Orlando. So many lives lost and they need our prayers. My heart goes out to the parents who are still waiting for word of their loved ones.
I am still making birthday cards and I'm actually entering two challenges. The first one is for http://thepaperplayers.blogspot.com/ whose challenge is red, white and blue and the second one is for http://cas-ualfridays.blogspot.com/ for floral. Edited to add a challenge at DL Art http://dianamlarson.blogspot.com/2016/06/dlart-thankful-thursday-challenge-182.html from my friend Lisa at http://indymermaid.blogspot.com/.
Two of my grandchildren are coming today for a few days. I didn't get to spend time with them over spring break because they both went to Florida with friends. So I'm getting my time in now! Be kind to one another.

Did'ya ever make a card that you couldn't believe you actually made? I am so pleased with this card and can't believe I did it! It didn't photograph well and I'm disappointed in that because you can't tell how well it came out. Enough bragging, lets get on with it. It is just cardstock run through the big kick with an embossing folder then scribbled aqua and green gelatos on and wiped with a baby wipe. Then I cut two Memory Box Tilth Florals from aqua and green cardstock and glued them together with a sequin for the center. I cut three hellos from a W plus 9 die in aqua, green and black and glued them together then added black WOS so it sparkles. Mounted the panel on green cardstock. Not very inventive but I love how it came out. It just shimmers and sparkles. Be kind to one another.

I went to my girlfriend's grandsons graduation party Saturday. It was so nice to see everyone that I hadn't seen in a long time. My sons and DILs were there too and we had a great time. This is the card I made for him. I saw it on a video made by Judy Goodson on youtube.com. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rIoUaS5_iIo. It was so easy and quick and I love the way it opens. My friend Greta https://ggnursecreations.blogspot.com/ is guest designing on http://citycrafter.blogspot.com/ so I wanted to enter this card. I have a neighbor who is older and I try to send her cards every so often. I knew when I saw feathers what I wanted to make. This is an old Tree Image stamp colored with copics and layered on cardstock embossed by a Cuttlebug folder from a dear friend of mine. I added the feather and a few sequins and it is ready to go. Be kind to one another.
