Ombre

This month's theme for our Group of Seven is Ombre. I hope you will visit all the ladies to see what they have created.

My cards are Valentines using Distress Oxide Inks to make the soft ombre look by blending inks for the backgrounds. For my first card I blended the background and added a die cut heart and added a sentiment across the center.

The second card used a stencil with three inks blended for the background and a die cut heart over it with a stamped sentiment.

There are so many colors to choose from to blend there is no limit to the cards you can make.

Merriest Christmas

and I'm wishing you a wonderful day with love and blessings.

I embossed this stamp in gold and added a star cut from gold cardstock. The sentiment is also embossed in gold.

Another Unity stamp

I'm trying to share the Christmas cards I did get made and this is another new stamp I got this year.  Stamped and colored with Copics. I messed up and double stamped the sentiment but I didn't want to do the whole card over so I'm keeping it. I think my grandson throws them away anyhow!

I keep hearing it takes a village. I'm wondering though - do they just show up? Or, is there a number to call?

My new stamp

I just got a few new Unity stamps and this one cracks me up. It's just stamped in black ink and a Santa hat added. The sentiment is stamped and added to front of the pattern paper.

After my friend turned vegan it was like I'd never seen herbivore.

Catching Up

Here's another family card for one of the grands. Pattern paper and a Lawn Fawn stamp. All my cards are simple as can be so I could get them done in time.

I hope you are all finished with your holiday shopping, cooking and wrapping and you are looking forward to celebrating the Birth with your family and friends.

Snow on paper

That's how I like my snow - on paper. This is one of the few cards I made that I remembered to take a picture of. I was so far behind and so intent on making them and getting them in the mail that I forgot to take pictures! I can't seem to get it altogether.

This is designer paper and the snowflake was die cut from sparkle white cardstock but the picture doesn't show it sparkle. It was added to a black die cut circle and the sentiment stamped and embossed.

I heard icy was hard to spell. Looking at it now icy.

Late, but here

This is not the post I wanted to share but need to update you on where I've been - again. I went to my sons for Thanksgiving and all but two of us are sick. I got sick on Saturday after the holiday and so did my son, grandson, his two children, my granddaughter and her boyfriend too. Of course, it is in my lungs and I can't believe another attack so soon. This one really brought me down just when I was feeling so much better and getting things done. The coughing is really brutal.

I have several Christmas cards made but I'm feeling not so excited about how many more to do and afraid it may not happen. It takes so much energy to just wash, dress and fix a meal.

That's why today I want to share the card I was going to share on Thanksgiving to thank you all for being the wonderful friends I've made online. I'm so grateful for all of you that comment, visit and lift me up so much lately.

I'm terrified of elevators and I'm taking steps to avoid them.
