The color purple

I've been in a mood lately and it's not a crafty mood. Now that I feel good I can't seem to get back on track with my normal life routine. No mojo for much and I hope this passes soon. I sit at my desk and try this and try that and it's like I forgot how to make a card. Has this happened to anyone else?

This card I made yesterday to help me get started again. The paper pad from Paper Rose was a free gift with my last order from Scrapbook.com. As a kid my favorite color was purple but I've gotten away from it and hardly ever use it. This paper called to me and at least got me to make a card. Very simple, used the paper and a cut apart and added some sequins. Maybe simple is what I needed.

If you have pumpkins still out keep alcohol away from them or they'll get smashed.

Be kind to one another.

That paper is just gorgeous and purple always has been and still is my favorite color so it's especially beautiful to me. Those sequins are all it needed. I too am going through the same stage of being uninspired lately. It must come along with the change of seasons because I go through it every year! Have a great Sunday!

Beautiful paper. Sometimes it is best to let the paper take center stage. Great way to get you creative mojo back.

Simple AND beautiful, Brenda! What more does a card need?! I hope it was enough to get your mojo juices flowing again. I definitely know the feeling. It's frustrating, but then one day something will catch your eye like this and you're off and creating again. Your one-liner is SO true!! Hugs, Darnell

Beautiful card. Nothing else needed. I love the simplicity. The feelings you have are very familiar to me to. Sometimes I just seat at my desk and have no idea what to do and how to do. And sometimes the idea comes from nowhere and the card is done quick.

This is so pretty, Brenda! If I take a break from creating, I draw a blank too. Once I do something usually something else follows. You've broken the ice beautifully here and hopefully it is just the start of beautiful things to come! I'm so glad you are feeling better!

Simply beautiful, Sometimes it's good to go back to the beautiful designer paper we have in our stash ♥ Don't worry the creative juices will make their way back onto the card stock :)

That’s very pretty, and simple is often all that’s needed. I’m sure your mojo will return , meantime just relax, look around, and get back to basics. Xxx

This is so pretty, Brenda. LOVE the gorgeous papers you've used. I always have a hard time getting back in the swing of creating after taking a break ... and I've had a lot of breaks this year. I usually start by casing a previous design I've done. Usually that works out and once I get started things just seem to flow. Hopefully that will happen for your Brenda. xx

Oh, I love your lovely card, Brenda! Beautiful paper with the lovely flowers! Great touch with the sequins, too! Hope your mojo returns again soon. I do get that way at times, also. I had it just a couple weeks ago. Looking at other people's blogs or cards here and there get me inspired once again. Thanks again for the lovely birthday card! I emailed you! Take care, hugs!!
