I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and Santa was good to you.  We enjoyed Christmas eve at our home with our family and Christmas day at our oldest son's home. We had so much fun with food, gifts, laughter and love. I would like to welcome a new follower to my blog. Mrs. A has just finished 12 days of Christmas cards that are so clever and verses along with them. You have to visit her blog http://itsanalienlife.blogspot.com/ and say hello and check those out.  I misinformed you about the phone working. My sister in law has the same cable company and can call me, but my sons who have cell phones and other people cannot! This is a nightmare. I have called several times. Twice I held on for 20 minutes and they cut me off. Today I got a real person and they are checking the lines and will call me back. That's what they told me last week  no one called and phone is not fixed. After I called the tech people today I called billing to make sure they weren't charging me for service that I ordered 11/25 and didn't get internet until 12/20 and still no phone. As of right now today, my bill is $446.64. What would you do? I'm completely overwhelmed. I haven't made a card or been in the craft room for several days. Our friends funeral is Saturday and I hope to get back in the swing of things after that. I don't have the spirit right now but need to make a sympathy card for her. That is the hardest thing to do.  Be kind to one another.

I want to wish each and everyone a very Merry Christmas today. I treasure each of my followers, all the comments made or emails received and truly thank all the bloggers who helped me get this blog started and taught me so much. Stampers are the greatest at sharing their work and their techniques and helping anyone. Starting my blog is the best thing I've done for myself in a long time and I'm grateful for all of you who stop by. You never know when something you say will help someone through a tough time. My thanks and love to each and every one of you.  On a quick side note - my phone is working. On a sad note, the husband of one of my best friends passed away Monday. He had Lou Gehrigs disease. I hate dementia, but ALS is a terrible thing. My heart goes out to anyone who is going through any sickness or disease.

May you all be blessed with love and health. Be kind to one another.

I chilled out most of yesterday so today is work time. Will be doing last minute cleaning and starting the easy cooking. Fudge, pink stuff (as it's known at our house), cheese ball and deviled eggs.  These are the little snacks to set around. Here is one of my Christmas cards from Christmas past. I kept this one because it is kinda crooked. Be kind to one another. Won't comment on cable company today.  That would not be kind.

This is not card related so you don't have to read about drama.

Just popped in to tell you the cable saga isn't quite over!! My computer won't load images in my email and I can't receive incoming phone calls. My son emailed me and asked me to call him. My other son had been trying to call and it tells people our phone has been disconnected. I can call out but no one can call in. Hopefully Monday we can resolve this issue. Who would have thought that ordering new service would cause all this trouble. On the bright side, I know the cable telephone number by heart and no longer have to look it up each time.  Have a nice relaxing day and be kind to each other.

Happy news - cable guy came and got everything up and running. Except-the modem he brought should have a label to give the password for WiFi and the label was missing. He said he will return sometime with a new one and hook it up. I am thrilled and hope the internet won't freeze up or disappear, that it will load everything and play nice. The word of the day is rain, rain and more rain. It has seeped into our sunporch and Molly has to be coerced to go out. Wet dog is not exactly a pleasant smell. Hope all your Christmas shopping and preparation is finished and you can relax this weekend. Todays card is from a stamp camp last year. Be kind to one another.

Our snow is gone but it is pouring rain. We now have flood warnings out. What weird weather. Yesterday and the day before we had freezing fog advisories. I have a confession to make. I love my old sizzix machine. Remember the red one that was so heavy and you just pulled down the handle? It is so quick and easy.

I made all these tag shapes in just a few minutes. The rectangles are from Lil' Inkers. The mittens and tree are Sizzix dies and the deer are memory box. The gingerbread is a SU punch. The rest are VOS (very old stuff) stickers. I have so many stickers from when I first started to make things and never used very many. This seemed like a good time to use them up. The snowflakes are a McGill flower punch. The little rounded tree is Wplus 9 die.

Cable guy just called and will be here in an hour. Maybe this will get done.  Be kind to one another, no matter what!

I'm in the home stretch. Shopping done, presents wrapped, decorating done. Todays card is from a previous year made in stamp camp. I have two gift card holders to make today with the punch board. Then it's just cleaning and cooking. I like to cook but see no reason to clean. It just gets dirty again. What a waste of time when you could be making cards.

Cable tech came Tuesday. Couldn't install because they had not received third party approval from my current phone company. He sat in our driveway for over 1/2 hour calling home office to get this done. Said he would either be back Wed. to install or someone would call me. No one called and he did not come. I called this morning. Asked for a supervisor. He actually checked and found approval had been done, tech will be here tomorrow and they are waiving installation fee. Should I expect him - I don't know. I would not have thought since I ordered new service on Nov. 25th it would take this long.  Be kind to one another. I have been kind to the cable people when I wanted to scream and say a naughty word. Or several.

I got the tree up yesterday and some decorating done. It is looking festive and Christmasy now. Today is wrap day. I won't be spinning on the floor (not that kind of rap)! I wrapped some little Hershey's nuggets yesterday that http://kardsbykadie.blogspot.com/ showed on her blog. She has the cutest projects. Thank you Kadie. I like how mine came out. I have an old cute stamp set called Clear Impressions that is nothing but faces that I used on the wrappers. I think the grandkids will like them. You may have to click on the picture to see their faces. Be kind to one another.

I just popped in today to share a laugh.  Saw this on giggle palooza and wanted to share.

I made myself a snowball,
as perfect as could be.
I thought I'd keep it as a pet
and let it sleep with me.
I made it some pajamas
and a pillow for its head.
Then last night it ran away
but first - - it wet the bed!

Be kind to one another.

Today I'm trying to finish making tags. Got started yesterday and I'm using up stickers and things that are in my Christmas bin. I feel guilty buying more stamps when I have so many but I've just discovered DeNami and Lawn Fawn and both are so darn cute. I NEED some of those. Maybe I will have to get a part time job to support my habit but then when would I stamp? No, on second thought that is a really bad idea.  I'll be sharing some of my older cards from other years since I am finished making Christmas cards this year.  It's just to share because some of the stamps are older. Some of these I will be showing were made in stamp camp. I'll post today's because it is new. This was the free make and take at Archiver's a few weeks ago. My gingerbread card the other day was from before as well.  Enjoy your Sunday and be kind to one another.

Hope everyone is warm and putting the finishing touches on Christmas gifts, cards, wrapping and baking. That would not be me yet. Almost done shopping, cards are done and ready to mail. No decorating, baking or wrapping. Just having my cinammon spice coffe and visiting you all this morning. We are expecting 3-5 inches of snow tonight and tomorrow.  You don't have to read this next paragraph. It is a rant and I need to get it off my chest.

I am going to tell you what I want for Christmas this year and every one from now on. I want to never have to talk to my cable provider again. We have talked five times in the last five days and one call that I couldn't bring myself to answer. Each time was a different person, each one told me something different, the rate was different, the way to hook up cables was different and even the time the technican would be here. They told me Monday, the 17th! So I don't know when he will come, what he will do and how much it will cost. Also what my phone number will be. It is not suppose to change but I have had two people tell me two different numbers. Did I mention instead of the cable they were suppose to send me I received an empty box to send my equipment back in? This is becoming a nightmare to change service providers. This is a well known nation wide company. How can this be? Don't they train these customer service people. I was hoping not to have a stroke before I get my service hooked up.

Todays card is one I made for my grandson. He is crazy about gingerbread men. Just a simple card made with a punch and a Jolee's santa hat. Be kind to one another and don't change your providers.

I feel safe in saying winter has arrived even if it's not on the calendar yet. Our temps. are -5 to 5 above. We still have snow on the ground but not that much. Molly runs right out does her thing and runs right back in and that's not like her. She loves the snow but not the cold.  Took hubby to cardiologist for a check up today and he got a clean bill of health. That always makes you feel good when you go in for a checkup and everything is fine. Dr. said they no longer use a treadmill test as a baseline. Only do it now if there is a problem. It's nice to have one less test to pay for that isn't needed.  I am showing you a gift I made for our gift exchange in my card group for Christmas. It was a set of three of those paper board hatboxes you can get at Michael's or a hobby store. I painted them a light green and decorated the top with a sizzix snowman and added hats and scarfs for them. All three were decorated. Somehow most of my pictures in Kodak in my computer say they are lost. It gives me an option to reconnect but they don't. So this picture is the only one of three that I still have.

Be kind to one another.

Thanks for all the nice comments about the ribbon weaving. I learned from En-May on youtube. If you would like to see it done just search on youtube for ribbon weaving. It really is easy.

Yesterday I got busy with my Christmas cards. When I saw the paper with notes on it I immediately thought of the ornament punch by Stampin up. The paper color determined the color of cardstock I would need to use so it was not a hard decision for me. After I cut all the layers I white embossed the Noel  on the black cardstock. Only messed up one so I was pleased. Then I stamped the verse I wanted to use on the inside. After I finished that I was ready to assemble. ACK - I stamped the verse with the fold of the card on the left. I embossed the Noel to have the fold at the top of the card!! You, as a stamper would have been proud. I did not panic. I turned the card inside out knowing I would be layering over the top of that stamped verse and restamped all over again.

Tip - Think twice, stamp once!

Anywho, they are finished and ready to go. For some reason the USPS wouldn't take my credit card number so I could order stamps online so I will be visiting the post office tomorrow. It is really cold here but we did not get ice like some places did and only an inch or two of snow. Hope you all have power and are keeping warm. Be kind to one another.

We have had a busy week of running errands, grocery and I did get out for our monthly get together yesterday to go to a movie with my friend Marilyn. We had a yummy lunch at Applebee's and saw The Delivery Man. It was a comedy but a real heartwarming movie as well. We now have several inches of snow on the ground and several more to come today so I'm getting my Christmas cards made this weekend. Then I have to get out and pick up a few more gifts for the GK (grandkids). Haven't started wrapping yet. That will be on wrapping day. I save a day just for that, although with gift bags now that is easier. You can decorate the bags with embellishments and make them so cute. I think Christmas always sneaks up on me or else I procrastinate! I have to get one holiday finished before I can start another one. I always feel like the stores are rushing me when they start putting things out in August. I'm just not ready - BUT - now that I have been out to shop, things are already picked over and they are out of sizes. I think that's a shame. Well, shutting up and moving along, I am posting my Christmas card from last year. Ribbon weaving was the rage and I think it is so pretty on a card. My card was gold cardstock with white ribbon and little gold pearls. I ended up using thinner ribbon because this was too heavy. This is the card I kept. Be kind to each other. My thoughts are with the Mandela family today. What a great man. To those with ice and snow, take care if you have to go out.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Did anyone shop on Black Friday? I can't bring myself to want anything bad enough to look for a parking space, fight the crowds and stand in lines for a long time. I used to do it but I find I have less patience and I'm less tolerant in my old age! I had a brunch for our family on Friday. I share the Thanksgiving holiday with my daughter in laws family and this year was their year to have it on Thursday. Our other son goes to his wife's family on Thursday evening. So instead I decided to have a brunch and they could stay as long as they wanted. We had a wonderful time. Ate and ate and visited and played games. Taboo is a fun game that we all could play and five second rule, along with another word game. Granddaughters spent the night and we met up with one of daughter in laws and all went to a craft fair. There were not as many vendors as last year so I was kind of disappointed but we had lunch after and it was fun.  I did do some shopping on line and some today online.  This is the card I was working on for Christmas but it is slow going because of all the cutting and a lot of popping up. I think I will do something else. Today is catch up on laundry and pay bills. Maybe this afternoon I can play.   I would like to welcome Sharon Polesel as a follower http://mycraftyplace281.blogspot.com/. Maybe you could stop by and visit her blog and say hi. Be kind to each other.
