Punched flowers

I wanted to share this card we made in Stampin' Up class earlier this month. It is made with flowers punched with a daisy punch and layered together and adhered to a green rectangle of card stock. The background is swiped with ink and stamped and a simple Hello sentiment is added with a twine bow. One of my favorites we've made.

Washi Pumpkins

Just a quick card inspired by Bonnie and Marcia using Renke washi tape. This card is just like my other inchie card for Halloween but it was fast and easy and I'm behind on making Halloween cards so I thought I'd try it. I will post it to the https://casmixup.blogspot.com/ for September. The sentiment is from Poppy Stamps.

Black cat

Somehow this month is getting away from me in the craft room. I was getting worried I wouldn't have my cards made for https://twofercardchallenge.blogspot.com/ this month. The prompt is Critters and I used a black cat for mine on both cards.

The Halloween card is a Penny Black stamp inked in black ink and embossed in clear powder. Then brushed on a sky background. I used a Copic marker to color in the eyes and fussy cut  the image out. I added it to a green card base and stamped the sentiment from a Poppy Stamps stamp. The cat on both cards is Impression Obession cut in black c/s.

The Christmas card uses a Poppy Stamp fireplace and logs. The logs were brushed with walnut stain DOX and the bricks were brushed in weathered wood DOX. The mouse in the stocking is Lawn Fawn colored with Copics and the fur is Stickles and the stocking is winked. Also used Lawn Fawn sentiment. The black cat on this one is shiny with Nuvo crystal glaze.

Whew, just in time.

My first inchies

I love all the cards posted on the https://casmixup.blogspot.com/ that are inchies. So many different designs and fun images.

This is my version. I used four different Halloween stamps and mounted them on black  card stock. This was fun to create sort of a collage to form a picture.

Oh dear

Talk about a card gone wrong! This was so cute in my head and I knew when I saw the challenge at https://caschristmascardchallenge.blogspot.com/ with the prompt Holiday Treats just what I was going to do. How cute a candy jar filled with bright candies would be - not. I cut the jar from vellum with a very old Sizzix die and used the Simon Says Stamp set that was a gift from my friend, Greta. I stamped candy and colored each piece with copics then fussy cut them all out. I cut the lid from red c/s for a bit of Christmas color but even though that is the lid for the jar, it doesn't look right. I wish I hadn't put it on.  I'm posting this because it took so long to make and I need to  at lease validate the poor card. The sentiment is from the same stamp set. I will post this in the CAS Christmas challenge.
Then my computer wouldn't let me download pictures so I took this with my phone and it came out little and I don't know how to make it bigger! One could scream.

Happy face card

We have celebrated the September birthdays in our family and the month is half over already. How can that be? This card was made in my SU class and then I added the happy face to it. I gave this card to my daughter in law for her birthday and she always makes me smile so I hoped she would like it. She did. The white dots are on a clear ribbon that reminds me of swiss dotted fabric you used to see all the time. Maybe it's making a come back. The flower is punched from pink vellum and the leaf is green vellum.

Busy as a bee

I am such a homebody but this summer has been the one I broke out of my shell. Everyday brings something to do and I've been doing it! I stay in most of the winter because I hate the cold so anything I wanted to do or anywhere I wanted to go, I did this summer. Of course, that means not making many cards and I do miss that.

This is a card made at Stampin' Up class. I didn't put a sentiment on it since I don't know what I'll use it for. It could be Sympathy, Thinking of You, Get Well or Hello. I love that color of green and the relaxing scene.

My son's card

We just celebrated the September birthdays on Labor Day this year at my grandson's new apartment. It's like living in a resort. A huge complex with a pool, workout room, dog park and tables and each section of the building has grills and tables and chairs for the residents to use. Lots of young people live there so it is perfect for him. His girlfriend, Maddie, helped him host and it was so nice. The guys did the grilling and we set out the food and got everything ready. That's when we realized he only has silverware for four! Maddie ran to the store and picked up plastic silverware and condiments. It was so much fun.

This is the birthday card I made for my son. He loves to fish and I thought this Penny Black stamp would be a good one for him. I used the technique a lot of the Penny Black designers do by putting the stamp in the Misti and inking up parts of the stamp at a time and stamping. I then embossed it with clear ink and sponged in the sky and ground. I was so pleased at how it came out.
