Oh, that color combination

I don't enter many challenges but this color combination is one of my favorites so I wanted to post my card there even though it is the last day to do so.

The colorthrowdown challenge this month is powder blue, cream and kraft. I love those colors together so I wanted to add this card to the challenge. I used Penny Black frames sent to me by a wonderful friend and my new Serendipity leaf die by Impression Obsession. I sponged on the blue ink under the leaf.  The sentiment is Gerda Steiner Designs. The bow is Papertrey twine.

Parallel lines have so much in common. It's a shame they will never meet.

I apologize

This is my second post today and I wanted to give you a heads up in case you missed the content of Darnell's last post. I know I'm not the brightest bulb in the box but I really blew it this time. I want to apologize to Darnell for not listening to her last post. In case you missed it, she talked about the old comments popping up  and I only had one recently and I was more caught up in the cartoon than what she was saying. She also told us unpublished comments were still popping up on her dashboard.

I was wondering why the amount of comments I get was so much less and figured it is summer and people are busier outside and on vacations. After talking to her (and learning how unplugged I am) she explained what to do (just like she did in her post). I had all kinds of comments that never got posted to my blog and I feel so bad. So, I apologize to everyone that I have not been to visit. I especially want to thank Arlene of a bit of this and that She kept letting me know I'd won her challenge and I didn't get that comment and hadn't gone back to check. So you may want to reread Darnell's post and see if it applies to you.

Shiny and metallic

This card is made with metallic paints that I got at a craft show many years ago. The paints came six paints to a palette and I have three of them. They are unknown since there is no name on the palettes. I punched out the flowers and painted one in blue and green, one in green and purple and one in blue and purple. They aren't as vibrant as I would like but I do like the shine the metallic gives. The embossing folder is Stampin' Up and the sentiment is Hero Arts stamped in CP ink.

I am playing in the seizethebirthday challenge with these colors.

I find the older I get, the tighter companies are putting lids on jars.

One a month

If I do at least one a month, it will be more Christmas cards than I usually make by December. Then if I would make two each time - well, you get the drift.

I'm sending this one to caschristmascardchallenge where the theme this month is Santa. I love this wood mount Santa stamp by Rubber Stampede from a long time ago. I use it every year and today it goes to visit the challenge.  I stamped and colored it with Copics, then added a die cut circle from Spellbinders. The sentiment is from Poppy Stamps, stamped in matching ink.

It was so foggy this morning. I tried to grab the fog but I mist.

Daisy thanks you

My dog Daisy does not ride well in the car. In order to take her to get her nails trimmed I have to lift her into the car, which is not easy for me, lift her out and drag her across the street to get to the building. Then with my purse, Foxy and Daisy's leash I have to drag her in the door. Then reverse it when she's done. So, I found a wonderful gal that comes to my house each month, brings Daisy treats and cuts her nails. This is a card I made for Daisy to give her.

I received a card like this from my wonderful friend,
Brenda,  http://friendscraftinwithfriends.blogspot.com/ and she sent me some die cuts to use so that's what I made this card from. She makes terrific things with her Cricut so I hope you get a chance to visit her.

If you believe in psychokinesis, raise my hand.

a rainy, stormy Sunday

I don't like storms but we need the rain so bad. It's just a gray, grumpy day. Perfect to make cards and watch golf.

Remember rub-ons? This is a card I made with brand new rub-ons that I just love. The colors attracted me and the patterns are gorgeous. I made this card for a great friend and even though it's not stamping I love how it turned out. The rub-on is by 49 & Market and this one is retired already. I wish I gotten more at the time. The friend is by Gina K. It is colored in CP ink and layered on white c/s.

I don't want to brag but I finished my 14 day diet in three hours.

Sparkle

Yep, that's what this is, a sparkly card. I saw this video from Marion Emberson www.youtube and fell in love with it so I made a card from watching it. It's at it's destination and traveled fine so I can share it. I used Wow embossing powder and sequins from my stash. She used more sparkle e/p than I did but I like it so much.

I used to suffer from soap addiction, but I'm clean now.

I'm confused

Anytime there is a holiday I'm completely out of sync the rest of the week. I didn't post yesterday because I thought it was Tuesday. Duh. Plus, I fell off the wagon so hard it's a wonder I didn't get run over. I've been more careful lately about what I eat but when I was out I stopped at the donut shop and bought not one, but four donuts! Ouch. It's been so long since I had one that I don't feel guilty.

This is the card I made to play in casmixup this month. It is watercolor (not something I'm good at) and things with wings. I watercolored a sort of square and added wings cut in sparkle paper with a Whimsy die. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.

My stomach is flat. The L is silent. Probably due to donuts.

I didn't know

when I made this card I didn't really know how to splatter. I think I've done it before but I just couldn't get it to work on this card. I used an Alexandra Renke die for the flower and a small punch to add the middle burst. When I tried to splatter I ended up just taping the brush on gently for color. I guess some days your brain just doesn't work.

My friend David had his ID stolen. Now he is just Dav.
