I want to make a card

I do think about making a card but I can't seem to sit down and do it. I am mourning Molly and she slept in her bed right next to my desk and I can't seem to sit down there and craft. I miss her and I miss it but can't seem to bring myself to sit there. I know it will pass and I'll be back. I even got out my little tub of Easter stamps and looked through it. I also have new NBUS that I keep looking at. I just don't seem to have the interest to actually make a card. I also go back and forth about a new pet. One day I want another dog, the next day I don't. Even considered getting a cat but I'm so done with pet hair all over everything.

I'll be back for sure. Just wanted to tell you I'll be by to visit as soon as I get myself together.

Happy Valentine's Day

to everyone. I hope you have a wonderful day. I'm sharing this card that I made from watching a video by Rachel Tessman  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDxxKpC_Zyc&t=1899s. I messed up the back of it but I loved the card so I went ahead and sent it to a friend. I hope she won't judge!' It has a acetate heart on the front and when you open it you see the shaker.

Twofers

I spent the day in my craft room and was able to make my twofercardchallenge  #24 for this month. The prompt is fruit and I had a great stamp set to use and cannot find it. So I improvised.

The first card is using a stamp set and paper  from Lawn Fawn. I colored the watermelon with Copics, glued one down and popped up the other one.

The second card is unconventional using the same watermelon stamp to stamp two and connect at the point and calling it a  ladybug! I colored the whole bug with Copics and added a small circle for it's head. Then I drew in antenna and legs. I added a Die Namic circle frame and sponged around the edges of the panel. The sentiment is a red rubber one I picked up at a Craft Fair so I don't know it's name. This is one BIG ladybug!

Thank you

I want to send my heartfelt thank you's to everyone for your love and prayers on the loss of Molly. She was my shadow all day long and was in her bed right next to me when I stamped. I've shed a lot of  healing tears. Anyone who has lost a pet know they are part of the family and saying goodbye is so hard. It was so fast and unexpected that I just couldn't come to terms with it. She didn't appear to be in pain and her passing was very gentle. She will always be in my heart.

I finally got a little mojo back after not stamping for awhile. This card was made using a die from Spellbinders called Venise Lace to make a stencil to try the gilding flakes technique. I tried it once before and didn't have much luck but I really like this card. I followed the directions from the video on casmixup.blogspot.com/ from Scrappin4myboys. I put the double sided tape on a card stock panel, then took release paper off and added the die cut stencil. Using a sponge I applied the Mulled Wine gilding  flakes from Cosmic Shimmer. The sentiment is Stampin' Up and embossed in Queen's Gold embossing powder.

I am sharing this card at

I made a stencil from a die, used gilding flakes, stamped the sentiment and embossed it.

My sweet Molly

I lost my baby girl this morning. She was the sweetest, most loving dog and I'll miss her so much.

Tuesday Morning

This is a quick card made with a die I picked up at Tuesday Morning several months ago. I just die cut it from white card stock and adhered to a navy blue card base. I didn't want to crowd the front so the greeting is inside.

Going through a rough patch with Molly. She has quit eating her regular dog food. For those who know her she has never missed a meal since I've had her and usually supplements her meals whenever she can. So this is so unlike her. I took her to the Vet Thursday and they could find no reason for this. I boiled her some chicken and got her wet canned dog food which, of course, she ate right down. Her regular food is the dry kernels so I thought it might be her teeth but she eats her "cookies" that are milk bone and ice cubes. They checked her teeth and they seemed to be okay. I also got her some soft dry food and last night she gobbled it down. Today - nothing. She has an appointment Thursday to get blood work done. Isn't it sad pets can't tell us what's wrong.

Hee Haw

Before I share today's card I want to clarify my last post. The 43,000 sheets of paper means my 12 x 12 paper!! I don't want to go into how many 6 x 6 pads I have. Just saying.  No, just kidding but you know how those beautiful papers can multiply when stored. That's why I don't quilt. I would buy every fabric that I loved.

I shared the card I made for my sister in law, Sharon, a few weeks ago. I always make her one that is flowers, birds or butterflies.  I love punny cards and critters so I made her another one for fun. I got this great Katzelkraft set from a wonderful blogger friend and had to use it right away. I practiced my shading that I learned from Kara using where the stamp showed shadows. She got a such kick out of it so I'm glad I did it.
