Mom Sayings

I made this card for my oldest son's birthday coming up on the first. I always asked the boys before they left the house in winter if they had  their hat and gloves. Now when he calls me in the winter, he will tell me he has his hat and gloves so I thought this 1999 River City Rubber Works stamp was perfect for him. I didn't want to cover any of the sayings so it is just plain. I did sponge over it with light blue ink I wished now I had embossed it in clear powder to make the words stand out more. It's a large wood mount stamp so I can't restamp. He'll be able to read it I think.

Another new die

Going to mynbus with this post today. This die has been sitting in my basket just patiently waiting to be used. It is from Simon Says Stamp and called Simple Stem. The pattern paper is new from Memory Box and the sentiment is Penny Black. Just a simple card and I feel good about using new products.

The adult version of "head, shoulders, knees and toes" is "wallet, glasses, keys and phone".

Myrtella

Using another Alexandra Renke die I made this sympathy card. I used CP ink on my mat and spritzed it once with water, then put the c/s face down on it to get the background. The die cuts are white c/s and the sentiment is Endless Creations I got at a stamp fair many years ago.

Lots of rain

last week brought out the geese! Those are the pictures below. Daisy doesn't quite know what to do with them.

I'm got into my NBUS basket and used three new items on this card. The black eucalyptus is from Paper Rose, the weeds are Sizzix thinlits and the sentiment is from my friend Darnell. She knew I had been searching everywhere for that birthday die and she sent me hers so I consider it new.  I am sending this card to

I love this die

Once again I used the Illarius die to make a card for a wonderful friend. This die has other petals you can use to change the look. I cut a frame from Lil' Inkers stitched dies in white c/s and the flower die as well. The background is pattern paper from my stash.

I was addicted to the Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around.

Friends

Yes, friends, how wonderful they are. I recently got a gift from a friend that I sure didn't expect. She has sent me so many great crafty goodies and I wanted to thank her with this card. I recently sent in an order for some Alexandra Renke dies and I used the Illarius die for this flower. I embossed the petals
in Wow  embossing powder Something Borrowed to give them some shine. Just added a thank you that doesn't really convey enough my heartfelt feelings enough for her.

It's pine time

The challenge this month is Pine at caschristmascardchallenge chosen by Trina of phamtasticdesign.
I had a new pine die from Alexandra Renke and this is just the time to use it. The pinecones and bow are Stampin' Up and the sentiment is Penny Black.

In the fifties I was roller skating on the sidewalk in front of my house, I fell and broke my arm. I'm telling you now because we didn't have social media back then.

Whoo Hoo

I am delighted to be a guest designer for this month's CASMIXUP. The challenge for August ishttps://casmixup.blogspot.com/2022/08/august-cas-mix-up-challenge.html

This is the card I made. I used the Simon Says Leaves and Berries background and embossed it with gold embossing powder. Then using Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide ink, I sponged over the image.
Then I wiped over it with a dry paper towel to bring out the embossing and cut it into a circle. I used a Poppystamps die called Hampstead Stem die cut in gold cardstock.  The sentiment is stamped and embossed in the same gold embossing powder.

I used emboss resist with sponging and stamped the sentiment and also embossed. I hope you join us and see what the team has to inspire you.
