An oldie

I don't know what is wrong with me. Instead of using some of my new goodies, I went into an old group of dies and found this Stampin' Up die. I can't remember ever using it and I think I would have since it is hard to glue down! This card is for a sweet friend that I've only got to meet once but will always love her. The sentiment is from another wonderful friend that is embossed in white.

With the rise of self-driving vehicles, it's only a matter of time before there is a country music song about a guy's truck leaving him for someone else.

Ink blending on coloured cardstock

This month group of seven cardmakers are ink blending on coloured cardstock.  I used dark red cardstock and used brown ink to sponge on. Then I went around the edges with black. The image was embossed in white. The sponging adds dimension to the focal point. This is something I need to practice on but I like the look of it.

I knew it was coming

I received my crafty order last week and the worst has happened. It doesn't fit in my NBUS basket! I need to start using the products I've purchased. Theoretically, I should not buy anything else until I start using these things.

Ha, ha, ha.

My card today uses another alcohol ink background done on the gelli plate. I added a snarky sentiment from the Tim Holtz idea-ology Small Talk book. Fun and easy.

Do they allow loud laughing in Hawaii, or just a low ha?

I'm back

No card today just a long explanation of where I've been.

I can't begin to tell you all I've been through with this computer. I was trying to be able to not have to sign in each time I went to my blog. I tried turning off verification. There was no place I could find to do that. Then I tried cookies. I changed so many settings and then I couldn't get into FB, Instagram, my grocery app and one of my games. The topper was I was completely locked out of my blog. The computer wanted facial recognition or print or passkey. I carefully googled how to add facial recognition and wrote down all the steps. When I opened it up to do it, my computer said that was not available on my computer. I will admit I cried a few tears and said some not ladylike words. Today I was going to take it to the computer store and after a good night's sleep, I decided to try one more time. For the first time it gave me an option to change my password so I did. Low and behold after a few more steps, I'm in. I don't know how long this will last. In the meantime, I haven't made any cards since I've been with my family so much.

I hope to catch up with everyone soon.

Gelli plate card

I loved this gelli plate technique from our Group of Seven last month and made so many cards using it. I used a Memory Box flower die and Penny Black sentiment embossed with white embossing powder.

I haven't lost all my marbles yet...but there is a small hole somewhere in the bag.

Bringing back rub-ons

This is a card made with rub-ons from Craft Consortium. There are two sheets of five flowers and seven sentiments on each sheet and a few assorted blooms. I used a score board on the left side of the card but after gluing the panel to the green cardstock, then gluing to the card base I kind of lost the scoring. I didn't use a sentiment from the rub-on set, I used an old Stampin' Up sentiment. The butterfly is from 49 and Market.

I'm not a hot mess, I'm a spicy disaster.

Using the gelli plate card

I made a lot of cards using the gelli plate and here is another one. This card used the circle with yellow and blue alcohol inks and 91% alcohol on the gelli plate and moved around with the puffer tool.  I used a Lavinia stamp over the circle when dry. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up.
