For my granddaughter

This is her birthday card that I tried to color just like her dog. She has a gray body and white neck, the dog, not my granddaughter. She is so crazy about that dog so I know she will love this card. It is  Colorado Stamp Company stamps and some ink blending.

Dogs just enjoy the ride. Cats want to drive.

Shiny Christmas

I am just getting in under the wire to enter the caschristmascardchallenge.blogspot.com/.  Hideko wants us to make a Christmas card that is shiny or sparkly. I cut the Sizzix  Tall Pines from mirror silver paper and embossed the Penny Black greeting in white. I think there is enough blue sky to make it clean since I added the silver stars to make a bit more shine.

I don't need the "previously on" before the program. I've been watching it for ten hours now.

Technology

It is wonderful when it works. I've been signed out of my google account and couldn't get back in until just now. It is so frustrating. Also, signed out of Hulu that must have happened at the same time. Didn't recognize my password. I've created so many passwords I finally bought an address book to keep track of them. They were in a notebook and it took forever to look them up but now they are in the address book alphabetically and so much easier to find. Thanks for your patience.

My great granddaughter's birthday party was so much fun and her Bluey card was a hit.  My son's birthday is next month and this is his card. He lives on a lake and fishes off the dock in his backyard so I tried to create that. The pattern paper is for the dock and this very old unmounted red rubber stamp made me laugh so I had to buy it. It's possible he could get all tangled up in fish line so I'm taking liberty.

When you see me in my swimsuit, mind your manners. I thought we were all going to die in the last two years, so I've been snacking.

Bluey

My great granddaughter's birthday party is this weekend and she will be two. How fast these two years have gone by. Bluey is her favorite cartoon so I made her this card by choosing a printable image and coloring it with Copics. The balloon is Simon Says Stamp colored and covered with glossy accents. The two sticker is from my stash as is the blue and white twine. The sentiment is Lil' Inker.

The older I get, the earlier it gets late.

Whata week

I'm sorry I haven't been around this week but the week took over my time. It was extremely busy and way out of my comfort zone to be out every single day. Several times during the week required naps since I was worn out. I'm getting back to my normal routine today.

I am ahead of all the birthdays this year for September and October. This has never happened before so I am happy. This is the card I made for my grandson who is into fly fishing. These are Stampscapes stamps. The panel is sponged and the guy is colored with Copics a bit to make him stand out.

Leaves

Leaves are the focus for fall. I used my new Leaf Fragments from Sizzix to make this card. I smooshed color on the leaves in fall shades. The colored ribbon is glued over burlap ribbon and the greeting is Lawn Fawn. If you look really close you will see I splattered. I was so pleased as I usually can't do it. The panel was glued to a dark green card base.

A truck loaded with Vicks Vaporub overturned on the highway. There was no congestion for hours.

NBUS Guest Designer for September

This month I am so happy Darnell asked if I'd like to be guest designer. I'm honored and it's great to be diving into my crate rather small basket of never before used stuff!

This embossing folder is by Sizzix and is a Texture Fade 3-D called Acorns. I thought it was perfect for fall and colored the leaves orange and green with a finger dauber and used brown for the acorns The sentiment is from an old retired wood mount stamp by Great Impressions that I cut part of the sentiment from and stamped it on a punched leaf die.

I'm going to start collecting highlighters. Mark my words.
