It's a damp rainy Sunday here that is perfect for crafting and football. Picked up the 7th season of Mash at the library for hubby. That will keep him busy all day. I think there are 27 episodes! I hope to get a birthday card made for son's birthday in Oct.  OR, I could take a nap. I was up most of the night coughing and my chest feels tight this morning. I don't have time to be sick so I hope this is just a weather related thing. My daughter in law likes hippos so I am posting a birthday card I made for her last year.  Be kind to each other.

Here's the thing. I'm not getting anything done in the house. After breakfast I bring my coffee into my craft room and log on. From then on I am mesmerized by all the blogs. There are thousands of card blogs out there. One blog leads you to 20 other links and I want to visit them all!  So, from now on I will have to put in laundry, clean and pick up the house and do any other chores before I can log on. That will be my treat for doing the housework! What I thought was fog out the back window turns out to actually be on the window so I guess I need to wash windows before cold weather. Bummer, it's always something before card making. Now that I have a blog I want to make cards every day. I am posting a birthday card that I sent to a friend several months ago. I did go to the library and grocery store today so I have done something. Hubby requires and insists on food so that is a priority. Be kind to one another.

Well, this blogging and visiting has turned out to be very time consuming but I love, love, love it. So great to meet such talented cardmakers and everyone is so positive. Everyone in this world knows Darnell. She has single-handedly linked all bloggers together for the good of cardmaking. Darnell, you are terrific. Okay, I tried smacking acetate first thing this morning. Did it three times. Nope. I forgot to put it on the glossy paper. I needed to make a card for my friend that was here last week. She had a partial knee replacement today and I wanted to get it in the mail tomorrow so I went a different direction. She lives about 45 minutes away but we get together once a month to shop, eat and see a movie. We rented a house and lived with two other girls when we were all younger and we all met our husbands when we lived there!  Been friends a long time.  Here is her card. It's a hero arts stamp inked with coastal cabana. I think she will laugh at the greeting!  I couldn't get the card to stretch out like it should be. Don't know what happened to it but you get the idea. Be kind to each other.

My fingers are now shorter than they were on Sunday. I worked all day yesterday with my blog. I finally got the g+ on down by my comments. Then I learned how to follow other bloggers. BUT, blogger says my picture is to big to add on the followers. I tried and tried to make it smaller but it still won't take it. (Not that I wouldn't like to be smaller).  Today I am taking hubby to see his friend in rehab. Seems like if I get in the car to go someplace, the day is shot. By the time I shower, take the dog out, leave home, come home and fix lunch the day is gone. It's too late to start a big project so I piddle around until it's time to fix dinner. It's a shame we have to eat so many times a day. I could get a lot done!  I am posting a picture of three of my grandkids in the toilet. We visited a museum over spring break that had this toilet and the kids got in. When you push down the handle it sounds like it is flushing. It was a hoot!  Be kind to each other.

We had such a fun weekend. Our family celebrated our Sept. birthdays at our house Saturday. We did miss our oldest grandson who is now in college. Can't believe he is that old already Time really does fly.  Both son and daughter in law liked their cards. Even our son went on about his nautical card. I am posting last years birthday card for our younger son. I stamped that on canvas and wish I had colored darker but it was my first time on canvas and I didn't want to mess it up. Then Sunday football and our Colts won.  Simple dinner of leftovers from Saturday. Love those meals. Fall is here! Chilly mornings and evenings and warm days. Love it.

I am not good with ribbon and twine. It's either too loose like this or so tight the card bends! I'm so bad with getting things straight that I've decided my eyes are on my face crooked.  Be kind to each other.

I was able to make my granddaughter's birthday card for next month yesterday between laundry and cleaning. It is so hard for me to clean first when my craft room is calling. I don't make a card every day but I do spend time there.  Today I am taking hubby to dentist and then on to the rehab unit where his friend is. Our neighbor is there for a couple of weeks to get blood sugar back in balance and he has balance and leg problems. My hubby misses him because they talk a few times a week and that's all my hubby does unless I take him out someplace. I'm making my son's birthday card soon so I can start on Halloween cards. Got some new Halloween goodies and can't wait to get started.

Be kind,

Football Sunday.  I am such a big football fan and love Sundays. I even watch a few college games on Saturday!  Today our Colts play and both Mannings play each other. It's a happy day.

I am posting the birthday card I made for my friend Marilyn that was here last week. She is also having a partial knee replacement later this month so I need to get busy and make her another card.

Darnell of http://www.djkardkreations.com/ has taught me how to make a link. Mine came out pink instead of blue. I hope this works. My comments are only shown when I go to design. Then it only shows partial words, not the whole comment. Thanks, Darnell, for your expertise. I get some things, but others come hard. I don't want to erase the blog by doing something strange.

Have a great day and be kind.

No card today. My girlfriend Marilyn came down today and we went to lunch at Bravo's and then off to a movie. We try to do this once a month but during the summer we are both so busy so it was really nice to see her. I am posting a picture of our fur daughter, Molly. She is the sweetest dog and the most lovable.  Be kind.

I fooled around the blog this weekend and figured out how to get a picture on my profile. Also, put the translation on. Then I found the follow button but it said it would take off the picture and information that blogger had so I didn't use it. Is that wrong?

Today is our grandson's birthday, so this card is another one I saw on pinterest. I don't know whose idea it was. I will track it from now on, I promise. Unless it's a card I made a long time ago.  I used two Hero Arts stamps from the brush set to make the rocks. Used distress inks for the colors.

Be kind to each other.

It's been great to hear from other bloggers. I do have a question tho. My comments are coming into my email and not on my blog. Is that something I have caused or do they just automatically go there. I don't know how bloggers actually get comments on their blogs. I'm so happy to hear from others no matter how they come, so please keep contacting me. I think it's okay to case if you give credit to the cardmaker it comes from. BUT I am posting a card today that I think I saw on a pinterest board and there are so many I don't know where it came from. I didn't know at the time I would be making a blog so I didn't keep track.  There are so many terrific cards made from this set. I don't know what happens to you when you post and don't give credit. Are they case police out there?  How much room for supplies will I have in my cell?  Here goes - this is a card I made for my son's birthday this month.  Be kind to each other.

I'm posting a card today for my daughter in laws birthday this month. I case'd it from designzbygloria.com. I changed the color of cardstock and the embossing folder and added ribbon. I think that's what you're suppose to say. I thought when I typed her name it would turn blue and be a link, but that didn't happen.  I've had comments!! I'm so excited. Darnell noticed that I don't have a follow button. I would like to but I don't know where it is or how to get it. That is Darnell of djkardkreations.com. Again, no blue but that's her. Thanks Darnell. I don't think she is blue, just the link! Course we all have "blue" days so anything is possible.  See you later and like Ellen says, "be kind to one another".

Another beautiful day here so I must get busy and do some fall cleaning. Amazing with only two people and a dog how quickly we can mess up a clean house. I think we have perfected it! Also a great day to take Molly (our fur baby) for a walk. She loves people and can't wait to go visit.
One of our neighbors has to go to a rehab hospital for several weeks and I am sending a card we made at stamp class.  Hope your weather is great where you are and you have a happy day.

I've got blog!

Here we go. I don't know if I can keep up with this but I will try. I don't have too much imagination so I case a lot. There are so many great ideas out there. The blogs inspire me to try. Thanks to all of you great stampers that share your work and make tutorials. You can learn anything on the blogs, splitcoast  and utube. Wow, all that information is going around in my head. I love to buy supplies and have a room dedicated to stamping but don't actually stamp that much.  I love to make birthday, Easter, Halloween, Fall and Christmas cards for our family. Now that I have a grandson in college I will be sending him cards as well.  I do have a Stampin Up gal and go to her classes. That's where I get my stash of cards!  I am very close to an Archiver's. They have great samples too and I have taken some of their classes. Also have a Michael's, JoAnn's and a Hobby Lobby. There are no great stamp stores anymore. We had so many but they have all closed. I tried my best to keep them is business but I guess it wasn't enough!

It's that time of year to really make cards. Our birthdays start on Sept. 1st and we have 7 between now and the end of the year. So I should be able to post some.  This is a card from last year. I haven't made Halloween cards yet for this year.  Stop by and say hello. I would love to hear from you.
