I am feeling somewhat better and not coughing quite as much.  I only took one nap yesterday so that is an improvement. I still have done nothing other than my PT exercises. Thank you all for the get well wishes.

This is another card I'm posting in .  We can only add three cards and this is my last one. I've used a Hero Arts stamp called Forest Background. On a plain white panel of cardstock I took Copic Markers and drew lines across in orange, yellow and tan. The yellow and tan lines didn't come out very dark and are hard to see. Then I stamped over them with the stamp in black ink and embossed in clear embossing powder. The sentiment is Poppy Stamps Give Thanks Brushed.  Very easy card and could be stamped on pattern paper. I may try that again with some autumn paper.  Be kind to one another.

I have been missing in action for several days. I have bronchitis and that is not a good thing for someone with COPD. My main activities for the past few days have been coughing, drinking water and going to the bathroom. In between I try to catch a nap. Nothing else going on here. I start the day by going to my favorite blogs and that lasts about 20 minutes interspersed with coughing. I finally give up so I am way behind in commenting. I drug myself to PT Monday and got some really great exercises to do for my neck and shoulder . I only mustered up enough energy to do them once yesterday instead of twice.  I started a Z pack yesterday and I feel somewhat better this morning but still coughing so hard it is scary.

Here is my IT'S HERE! card for today. It uses a lot of never before used schtuff. The moon is Altenew, the witch is Inkadinkado, the background embossing folder is WeRMemory Keepers inked a bit with Hero Arts Unicorn ink. The hand die is Memory Box Skeleton Hand and the sentiment is Tim Holtz. Wish you could have seen my desk when I finished this card! Hopefully I will be back with you soon, be kind to one another.

It's that time of year again - .

I'm entering this card for it using a Hero Arts stencil that is older but never used. Also this is a new to me technique using Versamark ink to press through the stencil then brushing gold Perfect Pearls over the Versamark.  So it's kind of a twofer! I gold embossed the sentiment on black cardstock and added it to the front. I'm not playing for a prize, just happy to participate. Be kind to one another.

This is my first free day since last Thursday and I am so looking forward to it. We tailgated on Sat. and the family was here Sun. for the Sept. birthdays. Monday I was relieved to find I don't have a torn rotater cuff. Dr. thinks it is muscle related and I will start PT next Monday. Yesterday I had lunch with a dear friend that I don't get to see often. It has been a year since we got together so this was very special. Tomorrow I am going to a Stampin Up class with a new demo. I see my previous SU demo now as a friend. We actually had lunch a week ago Friday but she isn't really having classes anymore. So I value today as a day off! I would like to get my outside windows washed today if it doesn't rain. I haven't been in my craft room all week.

This card is kind of a duplicate of the last Halloween one I posted. I used the same die and MS punch only made a window this time. I do love this kind of card and they are so easy to make. Just a few scores and folds. I'll be back soon to show my new SU cards. Be kind to one another.

Today's card is another inked tissue technique. It had an embossing folder background and the green is the inked tissue paper used as a mat. I love using the tissue paper and it is able to be used in any color you choose.

This time of year is so busy for our family from Sept. first till New Years. Birthdays and holidays along with tailgates and football. I love fall. The colors, the events and all the family get togethers. It is so fun decorating and getting ready for the holidays. I'm working on making more Halloween cards. Fall will be over before I get to those cards! I should have started with those - duh. Be kind to one another.

The scope of Irma is almost incomprehensible covering the islands and whole state of Florida. Harvey was terrible and this is just so damaging as well. I hope and pray everyone is safe from the winds and water.

I'm trying my hand at a diaorama card today. It's not very deep but I'm pleased for my first time. The background is doodlebug paper from a 6x6 pack. It has little eyes on it and I thought it would be spooky.  The haunted house is an Impression Obession die and the frame is from .Memory Box The gravestones in front are a Martha Stewart punch. It was pretty easy to do. I saw some on youtube that were really gorgeous and layered but looked beyond my capabilities! Be kind to one another.

I wish I could share our low temps with those in the west experiencing such high heat. It has been in the mid to high 40's in the morning and highs in the 60's during the day. I feel so terrible for those in the fires and hurricanes. This is an awful time for the U.S. right now.

I made this card at a SU class. My next door neighbor hauls my empty trash can up my driveway every week and I used this card to enclose a gift card for him. He is in his 80's and lost his wife last year and is at such loose ends. It seems to be harder for men to lose their wives first as some are so helpless. He doesn't cook or clean and can't drive any longer and depends on his son in law to take him to Dr. and grocery. He is such a nice person with a big family but only one daughter lives here and works full time. One of his grandsons is in a sit-com in California. I'm so lucky to have my sons here in town.  Well, did I ramble or what! Be kind to one another.

Please do not pass out. I rarely do two posts in one day but since I didn't get my card made last month in time for Loll and Bonnies challenge, I wanted to make sure I got this one in in time.  I did post my salt card the other day but not in time.

This card is for http://caswatercolour.blogspot.ca/. It is watercolor and silhouette for this month. Since I knew right away what I wanted to do, so I got right on it. The trick or treaters are an Obession Impression die in black c/s. I watercolored TH watercolor paper with Color Burst in Orchid, Fuchsia, Yellow Ochre and Sepia. The gate is a stamp by Judi Kins called Parisian Gates stamped in black and embossed with clear e/p and the treat or trick stamp is Lawn Fawn.  The trick or treaters are popped up with EK Success black 3D dots. Be kind to one another.

My DIL had a great 50th for my son Friday night. It was at a restaurant and outside so we didn't disturb anyone. It was a great turnout and the weather was perfect. The first picture is my 50 year old son. They provided his sombrero and his gifts included Depends, Prep. H, a walker and so on. It was a hoot. The second picture is my granddaughter, grandson and my younger son. The last picture is the guys Saturday night outside Lucas Oil Stadium before the Purdue game. My two sons are on the left and my two grandsons are on the right. Be kind to one another.

You may not remember where you were 50 years ago today but I know where I was. Giving birth to my first child! He turns 50 today and it is hard to believe that time has gone so fast. He has a son out of college and a daughter that is a junior in college. Truthfully in my mind I don't seem to feel any different than I did when I had him but body wise I can tell there is a big difference.

This card today is one I made for the salt challenge with Loll and Bonnie but I didn't get it ready in time to enter. I was going to try again but I ran out of time. I don't think I used enough salt but it did take some of the color out. The background was done in blues and one piece in yellow and oranges that I used for leaves. I made it for my friend with bile duct cancer. One hospital told him they couldn't do anything, then he was transferred to another hospital and they are removing the diseased part and the liver will regenerate. Amazing what the human body can do to heal itself. I cut the leaves with Lawn Fawn dies and used the Memory Box Grove Branch die. The sentiment is also Lawn Fawn.  It is a guy card so I didn't add bling. Be kind to one another and keep the people in the way of Harvey in your thoughts and prayers.
