Happy, happy new year to all. I hope your 2017 is filled with love, health, happiness and craftiness. I hope we can all be kind and forgiving. This is a card I made that was on my camera card and had not been loaded in the computer. It is Kaisercraft paper, a SU ornament punch and silver cord and sparkle paper.  Be kind and be safe tonight.

I'll be back with a card soon but I wanted to share what was in my craft room last night. This is the biggest spider I have ever seen in my life and I was stunned. I just stood there and so did he. I had my phone in my hand and snapped a picture. Then he got away. I am moving. Be kind to one another.

Merry Christmas everyone. May your day be filled with love, joy, fun and loved ones as we remember the reason for the season. Everone was here yesterday and, oh my, we had so much fun. Molly and I are getting ready to go to my sons for the day but I wanted to share my last card. This is a Lawn Fawn stamp and sentiment that is inside and says "Merry Christmouse".  Be kind to one another.

I ran to the store this morning to get the cheese for the crack bread that I forgot to get. Oh my, everyone in the city must have been there! All 28 cashiers were open and the lines were so long. I've made five of the dishes we are having today and will finish up the rest tomorrow. Todays card  is more of KaiserCraft paper, a star die cut from gold paper I embossed to match the angels and an angel stamp embossed in gold embossing powder. It was sent to someone who is an angel to me. The picture didn't come out very well.  Be kind to one another and don't stress out about getting everything done.

Other than cooking, which I will start tomorrow, I am ready to have the family come Christmas Eve. All my running is done, gifts are wrapped and today I will finish the cleaning. The card today is done by letting the paper take center stage. This is from the KaiserCraft paper pad and the punchout in the back of the pack. I love the shine of the paper. I did punch out a scallop circle from glitter paper for the reindeer. It has warmed up to the 30's and 40's so it feels much better here. Be kind to one another.

Cold weekend and I stayed in! Today I wrapped all the presents and now the tree looks happy with the company. I'm hoping the driveway thaws out by Wednesday so I can go to the grocery store and get food in for Christmas. Today's card is sent to another dog lover and dear blogging friend. It is a Lawn Fawn stamp, sentiment and paper.  Be kind to one another.

Turns out the snow was not the big issue. Last night we had freezing rain and cars were stranded on the interstate for nine hours because they could not move. Now it is raining and the temps are up a little bit but more freezing rain is expected tonight. We have four Indiana Big Ten basketball teams playing downtown at the fieldhouse this afternoon and people are going to be out in this weather so I hope everyone is safe. I doubt anyone will stay home since IN is such a huge basketball state and we take it very seriously.

This is a card I made for my two besties. One dressed in red and one in green. It is a My Favorite Things stamp and sentiment and I had to have it. The tree is a Sizzix die with Snow Tex applied. My friend Colleen, http://onesmileliftsaspirit.blogspot.com/, made a card with Distress Grit Paste that is like this. Be kind to one another and patient if you are out shopping.

We ended up with 3.9 inches of snow and now we have bitter cold. It is a minus 12 wind chill factor with a high of 23 today. The driveway is plowed but it leaves ice and it is sloped so I'm not going down to take out the trash or get the mail. All my Christmas deliveries have been made to the door so I am ready to wrap (or is that rap?). Rapping while wrapping will be fun! My craft room is so messy, worse than it's ever been with stuff all over. You know what they say - Craftings messy, clean it up!

Today's card is a Memory Box Drop Ornament inlaid with a Memory Box LaRue Ornament die. It is a pretty big die so that is pretty much the card front. It is cut from silver glitter paper and I used silver thread for the hanger. The paper is Kaiser Craft. Be kind to one another.

Just a quick post to show you what is going on right now. We are getting big, fat, fluffy snowflakes and the ground is covered in just an hour! Molly loves it. She just goes out and stands in it. I was trying to capture how big the flakes are on camera. Also a picture of Molly guarding my Christmas bins of supplies. I feel much better today. Be kind to one another.

Kind of a subdued weekend. Friday was the first anniversary of hubbys passing and today is the anniversary of the funeral. I don't know why the word funeral starts with fun. That should not be.  I worked on my cards all weekend and I am making progress. It was a perfect time to stay in and craft as it was cold and dreary. This is an older stamp set called Lizzie Anne designs Little Bits rubber stamp sets.  I am entering this card in http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.com/.

Please display our banner. The challenge is a one layer card with outlines. Be kind to one another.

Finally, I am starting my Christmas cards. I'm so glad I got everything done as we did get some snow last night. Not much compared to the rest of the country but it is on the ground. It is the cold that is really the issue. And the wind, oh my. This card is made with Impression Obsession Patchwork Tree die and KaiserCraft paper. I used a Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder as a background for the tree. The sentiment is embossed with Queens Gold embossing powder and I took the stamp set out of the packaging so I don't know what company it is. I am going to enter this at the http://mitrafriant.typepad.com/impression_obsession_news/2016/12/new-challenge-quick-christmas-cards.html that is Quick Christmas cards.    Be kind to one another.

I hooked my oxy tank up to the portable cart and off I went to the mall. I actually went to four different places in and out of the car and did just fine. The oxy tubing got hung up on some women's pants that were hanging up and jerked me back when I tried to walk away and once I turned the wrong way and the tubing pulled me back. Other than that it was a great experience. I walked slow and didn't have any problems. Truthfully,  I have been afraid to go out with it because I have visions of tripping someone or trapping a kid with the tubing. I am getting much better with it and this was a boost since it went well.  I did all of my shopping except for my oldest grandson and I will probably get his online. The tree is up and I am getting into the spirit. Now I have to do my cards. It is going to be much colder by the end of this week so I'm trying to get my running done early.

This is the last card we made in the Christmas class. We used a brick pattern paper for background and snowflake punch to make the wreath in two different greens. Decorated it with red gems and ribbon. I hope you are all getting everything done and not stressing. Jesus is the reason and things that don't get done are okay. Be kind to one another, especially when out and about shopping and in the parking lots.

Whoa, winter has arrived here. We may get a dusting of snow this morning. I love looking out at pristine snow and seeing it fall. That's it. I don't want to shovel it, drive in it or trudge through it.  This card today is another from the class I took and it is a doozy. The front of the trees are one paper and the other side is a different pattern. I love how the inside looks too. I don't know that I will make another one but I do love how this came out. Be kind to one another.

I'm sorry, I meant to turn the middle picture but forgot. It is to show you the other side of the front trees. The card ties in front to close it.

I'm back. I don't know if that is a threat or promise but I'm here. It has taken several days to get back to normal. We had a great time at a great place. The cabin was plenty big enough for all of our family. They have remodeled the kitchen so we had enough room to make our Thanksgiving meal. We were up late every night and this old body isn't used to that. We got home Sunday afternoon, I unpacked the leftover food and Molly and I slept most of Sunday afternoon and nine hours Sunday night! She was so good and got so much attention from the grands. I have caught up on the laundry and did all my errands yesterday. I got some Christmas shopping done on cyber Monday.

My heart goes out to all those in Tennessee with the fires. That is where our family stayed several years ago on our family trip. Also to those in the path of the tornados in the south. Our weather has been all over the place, warm and cozy one day and cold the next.

Here is a Christmas card I made in a class this year. It is an easel card and I'm not sure what happened to its bottom where it got wavy. I have to get myself back in the groove of cardmaking. I made so many for Halloween and Thanksgiving and then just stopped to get ready for the trip. I'm hoping my mojo comes back into town today. Not that much time left. Be kind to one another.
