New addition

I am happy for you to meet my new crafting companion, Cassie kitty. She tugged at my heart when I saw her in the store as I walked by. I had to come back and pick her up and pet her. I walked away and shopped and had to come back and get her. Molly is not impressed at all but jealous because Cassie can sit up on my desk.

This is a card made at SU camp. Blended inks and the flower is stamped over the inked panel. That strip is mounted over black c/s, then adhered to a white card base. All products used are Stampin' Up.

No stamping

This is a card I did with no stamping. I was so in love with this paper and the embellishment pack by Kaiserkraft that I just had to get it. I used the paper and added the embellishment and the cut apart to assemble the card. I also got a sheet of the blue flowers on a blue background that is embossed while I was at the stamp store. So simple but a different way for me to make a card. I have so much pattern paper I should be using it for backgrounds but since alcohol inks, brushos and sponging has come into being the pattern paper has taken a backseat. I have to revive it so it's not so lonely.

Break from the heat

We have gone from a heat index of 110 yesterday to 73 degrees today. I'm so thankful since my AC went out last night. They came and fixed it today but now I don't need it! Isn't that always the way.

This is a card for the casmixup challenge using the alcohol ink lift. I had to use this stamp from Newton's Nook because it was a fun way to cool off. I used a stencil called Under the Sea from SSS and this is where it gets unorthodox. After I smoothed three colors of alcohol inks on yupo paper I realized that if I lifted ink from the openings in this stencil I would only have blue lines left. So I put the blending solution on the stencil itself. I laid the stencil over the yupo paper and used a paper towel to rub the color off. It still isn't really what I wanted but there are kinda of waves. I colored the fussy cut image with Copics and stamped the sentiment with Staz On ink. Last, I added some Nuvo crystal glaze to the splash. I love punny stamps so much.

Heat - Continued from Thursday

I would like to welcome a new follower. Her name is Trina and that is not a very good picture of her, but I'm so glad you're here.

It is too hot to do anything. I was showered and dressed and ready to go out yesterday. I opened the door to let Molly out and decided that was not a good plan. So I made a card to play in https://caswatercolour.blogspot.com/. The first half of the month was to celebrate Darnell. The second half of the month is to celebrate Bonnie.

This is a Stampin' Up stamp water colored with Tombo markers smooshed on my craft mat, then picked up with a waterbrush. The orange circle is a die from Penny Black and the sentiment is Avery Elle. I splattered some orange ink around the die cut. It is there, I'm just not good at splatters because I'm afraid to make blotches. (is that a word?)

Happy birthday, Bonnie.

I stamped, water colored, used a die cut and splattered.

Heat is the word of the day

Not just here, but everywhere. Please take care in this extreme heat wave we are having.

These are my cards for the https://twofercardchallenge.blogspot.com/ with Garden as the prompt. I don't know the name of the stamp set the bird bath came from but the flowers on both sides are from Judith.  The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday. The second card is the Judith stamp with a frame from Hero Arts and butterfly from Martha Stewart.  That is a Stampin' Up sentiment.

Kara knew the bird bath stamp. It is "For the Birds" by Inkadinkado. Thanks, Kara.

Late, but Happy Birthday

I wanted to join in Susan's birthday bash for Darnell on the https://caswatercolour.blogspot.com/. I water colored the black embossed image from a  Stampin' Up stamp with lavender and yellow on mixed media paper. Then I used that stamp again and watercolored some of the blooms and fussy cut them out. Using a bit of foam tape I popped them up over the others for a bit of dimension. The sentiment is from PTI and embossed.  I used stamping, embossing and watercolor. Happiest of Birthdays, Darnell.

Big birthday month

There are lots of July birthdays and I'm trying to get caught up. Also lots of dentist appointments. I've had three since July 2nd and one next week. Then I will have several more to get the partial they are making. I also purchased a water pik and used it yesterday for the first time. It's a wonder I didn't drown or get electrocuted. Turns out there is a learning curve to it.

This is a birthday card made at Stamp Camp. I love the embossing folder and bright colors we used.

Happy 4th of July

As we celebrate today I want to celebrate my friendship with all of you. Thank you for hanging in here with me as I take a break to rest my wrists. I value everyone of my followers and consider you all wonderful friends. This is another card made in my Stampin' Up camp.

 Have a happy, safe day.

Happy July

How could it be July when it was just March? I can't keep up. I'm trying to comment a bit at a time. It is the typing that hurts but I'm going to go a bit at a time, then stop for a day. It may take me a while to get around to everyone but I'll get there. Also, I'm trying to keep typing short.

This is a stamp camp card from a while back but never posted. Have a wonderful day.
