Thank you all for your encouraging posts of my shaker card. I also remade the black card and will show you next time. Today I want to show you a simple card that there was no way I could possible mess up! It is made with gorgeous designer paper with copper shine. I embossed a snippet of vellum with a Mint Owl sentiment in SU copper embossing powder.  I am entering this card in the new http://tictactoechallenge.com. I used the second row across of DSP, embossing and floral. I am also going to pop by and enter in http://pixiescraftyworkshop.blogspot.com/.  Be kind to one another.

Update - Blogger would not let me post a picture of the tictactoe image.

Okay, I'm right back on the horse. I remade this shaker card and didn't add all those sequin things and make it a shaker. The point was to be able to see the cupcake. It was colored with Copics and glossy accents added to the frosting. The sequin things covered it all up and the inside verse had to do with cupcakes so covering it up defeated the purpose. That was what was wrong with it and I'm sorry I didn't make that clear. I should have shown the inside too. It was hard to get a good picture because of the reflection. Be kind to one another.

It's not like I've been idle.  I made five cards last week. All of which ended up in the trash. I did try to salvage them but I really messed them up. I have inked, sponged, embossed, shakered, and inlaid all to no avail. When I made the shaker I needed to have been stopped before I got so out of control. It looked pretty good until I decided I had all these great sequin like things to add to a birthday card so I added them and was so proud of myself. OMG, what was I thinking. I took a picture then took it apart but could not save it. I tried the latest from J. McGuire. How she did that I'll never know. I followed her directions EXACTLY and it resulted in a mess. That is the second card - black with the inlaid flowers. The glue squeezed out and I couldn't get the flowers to pop out, plus this is an exacting process. I didn't get the flower petals layered perfectly so that didn't work either. I used my craft knife to scrape a lot of the paper away from the flowers but couldn't get it all. It would be so pretty if I could get right. So I'm going to show them to you and get on with my life. The others are in the trash.  Be kind to one another.

I hope all of my friends in the west are okay during this extreme heat wave they are having. Please keep cool and hydrated. I would like to welcome a new follower to my blog. She is Mia and you can find her at http://craftartista.blogspot.com/. She is so talented and does so many crafts, you will enjoy stopping by.

I'm sad to see the last day of camp at http://www.mftstamps.com/blog/ . In spite of the mosquito bites and sunburn I had a wonderful time and look forward to next year.  Plus I already have two roomies for our cabin. The theme this time is Glitzy Glitter. I'm not a fan of glitter but this technique didn't look too messy so I'm on board. It was easy but I still managed to get glitter everywhere. I did not put a sentiment on this card yet as it is very versatile and can be used for a lot of different occasions. I used a Die-namics flower die and Stampendous ultra fine pink glitter. I'm almost caught up with my classes at camp with http://www.mftstamps.com/blog/. This class was Divine Dry Embossing and what a cool class it was. It was a Bonus Day for us. I used my Doily die from Die-namics to dry emboss and the basket of apples from Harvest Mouse layered twice and stamped a few little leaves. Colored with Copics and the clear embossed sentiment is from that set too. I wonder how many of you remember that song? Be kind to one another.

Going to camp at http://www.mftstamps.com/blog/ is so much fun, I feel like a kid again. This is the card for day four and it's Sensational Sliders. I was under the misapprehension that it was those little sandwiches but it turned out not to be. It is about interactive cards. See how much I've learned. I agonized  over this card. It is my first slider and I'm happy with the way it turned out but it took me several tries to get it right. I hope you like it. I used My Favorite Things paper and the little girl with her balloon. Wow, two posts in one day! I am finished with kittie duty. They will be home tomorrow. Kitty misses them, he wouldn't leave my side while I was there. He thinks he is a dog. He rolls over so you can rub his belly just like Molly does.

When I got back I was able to make a shaker card for http://www.mftstamps.com/blog/. This is for day 3 and it is a shaker card. I used a MFT heart die and the Because stamp and die set. The because is die cut three times and layered, then glittered with a Spectrum glitter pen. Be kind to one another.

This is for day two at Camp Create at http://www.mftstamps.com/blog/.  The theme is Remarkable Resist and this is my card for it. I embossed the sentiment in white embossing powder and used Distress Inks over the panel.  Polished the sentiment and added some colored sequins to complete the card. It has been pretty hot here so I'm glad to be inside crafting. Be kind to one another.  Blogger would not let me post the badge for Day 2. Bummer. It was the campfire.

I am away at camp this week. Camp Create 2017 at https://www.mftstamps.com/blog/. I kept seeing bloggers last year talk about it and didn't know what it was. Now, with my newfound knowledge, I am attending. It is such a busy week for me with running back and forth to my sons to take care of cat, funeral and graduation but I'm hoping to keep up with camp. The bed is comfortable and the food is so good, not to mention the great videos and tips. Day 1 is watercoloring. I made this card with an ombre watercolor look with Gansai Tambi pearl watercolors. I debossed the rectangle peek a boo die and used the stamp set Think Pink. It is an older stamp set but still useful always. I'd love for you to join me at camp. Maybe we could be roomies. Be kind to one another.

I was able to figure out how to load from both camera and phone. I called Sprint and they said they didn't have any techs at their store and gave me another number for a different store. I called many times and no one answered but no message came on to say it wasn't a working number! I went into the computer and decided to delete many more pictures - doubles and things I didn't really need to keep. Worked like a charm. So here is the first card I foiled. I also learned how hard it is to take a picture of a foiled card because of the shine. This card was made with Heidi Swapp foiled paper and foil. The paper comes in a little pack and mine was on sale at Hobby Lobby. I don't think I will buy anymore of her foil because it is so hard to open the hard plastic container it comes in and the sticker to hold it closed is not very peelable. That could possibly not be a word but that's the truth. Anyway, it is multi colored foil and really pretty. Soft pink at the top, gold then a rose color at the bottom. It is an easy, quick way to foil. Pick the paper, put the foil on top and run through the machine. Be kind to one another.

I foiled several cards over the weekend but my computer won't load them either from the camera or my phone. I am so bummed since I don't know what to do. I deleted some pictures from my camera and the computer thinking it might be full but no go. I will call Sprint when they open and see if they can help.

I'm taking care of my son's cat this week and that involves  trips back and forth three times. It's a good little jaunt back and forth so that will cut into my crafting time. Plus it is very hot here and I don't do hot very well.

Hope to be back soon with cards. Be kind to one another.

I have to admit I didn't do anything yesterday other than sat and stayed glued to the tv. In the evening I made this card with pattern papers from Doodlebug. The center of the flowers have a teeny drop of Nuvo honey gold glitter drops. I am entering this in the CASual Friday challenge. Be kind to one another.

My youngest granddaughter and I spent the day together yesterday and of course we went to the mall! We saw a shirt that she really wanted to get for Father's Day but they didn't have it in his size. So I made a card that is similar. I didn't have dies with a small enough font to put inside the bear so I had to improvise. He will get the idea. The bear is a Hero Arts Stamp and the letters are QuicKutz stiletto.  We were able to get another tee shirt for him that is snarky.  Be kind to one another.

What a beautiful, sunny week we have had. It has been wonderful to be outside and warm. Molly has been in and out all day long. I haven't spent much time in my craft room but I did make one card. I tinted some embossing paste with Distress Ink and put over a stencil for my focal point. The hugs stamp from Lawn Fawn was stamped in VersaMark and embossed with Ranger gold embossing powder. The little butterfly is a Poppy Stamp die from a bit of gold paper in my stash. I stamped, used embossing paste and used a die cut so I am entering this is in the CAS Mix Up Challenge and Addicted to Stamps. I am also popping over to http://pixiescraftyworkshop.blogspot.com/ challenge with my bit of gold paper. Be kind to one another.
