Break from the heat

We have gone from a heat index of 110 yesterday to 73 degrees today. I'm so thankful since my AC went out last night. They came and fixed it today but now I don't need it! Isn't that always the way.

This is a card for the casmixup challenge using the alcohol ink lift. I had to use this stamp from Newton's Nook because it was a fun way to cool off. I used a stencil called Under the Sea from SSS and this is where it gets unorthodox. After I smoothed three colors of alcohol inks on yupo paper I realized that if I lifted ink from the openings in this stencil I would only have blue lines left. So I put the blending solution on the stencil itself. I laid the stencil over the yupo paper and used a paper towel to rub the color off. It still isn't really what I wanted but there are kinda of waves. I colored the fussy cut image with Copics and stamped the sentiment with Staz On ink. Last, I added some Nuvo crystal glaze to the splash. I love punny stamps so much.

Be kind to one another.

Fabulous and funny card. Love it. We are set to be very hot here tomorrow in the uk and then again on Thursday. I had the dentist today and it was nice and cool sat in his chair. Needed X-rays taken which was a bit uncomfortable but at least it took my mind off my frozen shoulder for a bit. Hugs Mrs A.

This is a fun card. I wish I had a pool to swim in. The weather has been horrible. I hate the heat! So happy that today was cooler. I was able to get into my craft room today. Thoroughly enjoyed playing today. I love your beautiful water. I haven't tried to lift color yet. I think it would take some practice. Yours looks great!

It is nice to have a break from this heat isn't it Brenda! I am thankful for it, although for us the 90's will be back on Sun, Mon, and Tues. But that's ok, cause I think we are to go back to more seasonal temps. 88 for the weekend. I can live with that after the feel like temps were 110. Your card is amazing! Your water looks just like it has ripples and movement in it. I love the way it came out and I love your little goat relaxing in his float. lol The sentiment is one we use all the time, it makes a great sentiment. Hugs, Brenda
