Black cat

Somehow this month is getting away from me in the craft room. I was getting worried I wouldn't have my cards made for https://twofercardchallenge.blogspot.com/ this month. The prompt is Critters and I used a black cat for mine on both cards.

The Halloween card is a Penny Black stamp inked in black ink and embossed in clear powder. Then brushed on a sky background. I used a Copic marker to color in the eyes and fussy cut  the image out. I added it to a green card base and stamped the sentiment from a Poppy Stamps stamp. The cat on both cards is Impression Obession cut in black c/s.

The Christmas card uses a Poppy Stamp fireplace and logs. The logs were brushed with walnut stain DOX and the bricks were brushed in weathered wood DOX. The mouse in the stocking is Lawn Fawn colored with Copics and the fur is Stickles and the stocking is winked. Also used Lawn Fawn sentiment. The black cat on this one is shiny with Nuvo crystal glaze.

Whew, just in time.

Be kind to one another.

Two lovely cards and so different with the cat die-cut. I like the cute mouse in the stocking! I know what you mean, this month I've hardly made anything for my blog. x

Adorable twofer Brenda, I don't make Halloween cards, I didn't really grow up with them but this one makes me wish I had :).
I love your little cat and mouse scene for the Christmas card.

Cool twofer scenes with the black cat. He looks right at home in both.... maybe a little too much for the mouse’s liking in the Christmas card. 😂ha, ha

What a cutie pie cat! He looks perfect on both your Halloween design and your Christmouse design, Brenda! As a scaredy cat he looks pretty courageous being on the outside looking in on that awesome snow globe Halloween scene! And he looks very non-threatening to that sweet mouse peeking out of the stocking hanging from that great fireplace mantle! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #20!! Hugs, Darnell

What a wonderful, glossy coated cat, Brenda ... he obviously has a good home!! Your spooky halloween scene is fabulous with that background sky ... so atmospheric! The Christmas scene is adorable ... that little mouse looks safe and sound away from kitty, snugged up in his stocking ... wonder if Santa brought him as a gift for later!! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)

What a great way to combine a twofer for the upcoming seasons! Your black cat looks like she was made for that spooky scene! I love your ink blended sky! Now, is that cat thinking, "Aw Santa, you shouldn't have!" about that mouse? Hmmm - just like a cat! Thanks for joining the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!
