I would like to welcome my newest follower, Kathy. Her blog is http://ktkrafts.blogspot.com/ and she is making some beautiful cards on her blog so you might want to pop in and say "hi".

I'm so glad to know I'm not alone with my disease. It must be spread by internet connections. It turns out the only cure is to stay off the blogs and Pinterest so I guess this will be a chronic disease.  We are all in this together.

Our meeting with the atty. went very well and I am starting to implement his plan for our long term. I would tell anyone as a caregiver of a spouse with dementia or alz.  to talk to an elder care atty. early in the disease to see what your options are. It is different in each state and the atty. will know what is the best course for your situation. I sincerely hope none of you ever have to take this advice.

I went to Pinterest (where my disease started) and looked for minions. I decided to make a minion card for my grandson's birthday instead of the Go On and Celebrate card. This is more of a boy card and he does love the movie Despicable Me. It is scraps and a Simon Says Balloon die.  The sentiment is SU. Be kind to one another.

Forgot to say, I'll be thinking of you during the 500--wish I could be in Indy during it just once as I know it's such a festive, exciting time. One of my grandfather's actually worked at the track when he was young. Enjoy your weekend!

Think you're onto something about how this disease is spreading, via blogs & pinterest. Good advice about seeking legal advice early too, with an ill loved one. Or just for those of us who are aging, and don't want difficult decisions left until emotions prevent a wise choice being made. Or something you don't want - done. Now I don't have a clue as to what a 'minion' is, but I can tell it's something pretty cute. This is cute as can be, love the google eyes, and the bright cheerful fun colors. TFS & hope the wkend is a good one. Hugs

Oh, what a giggle your card is! It's fantastic, Brenda, and I'm sure the young'n is going to love it!! I'm happy to get caught up here about your visit with the attorney and so pleased that it went well. Being informed always makes one feel like they are on firmer ground in any situation, so I agree with your sound advice. I hope you are enjoying a lovely Memorial Day! Hugs, Darnell

Yep, we all have this disease Brenda! lol And Pinterest doesn't help one little bit!! Your card is just darling and I know your grandson will think his grandmother is amazing for making him this card! You did a great job with your Minions Brenda. I'm glad that your attorney is able to give you a good plan and I'm happy to hear that you are starting to carry it out. I know it can't be easy my friend and like you I hope no one else has to do this. You know I'm only a phone call or email away if you should need to vent, talk, cry or scream!! Big hugs, Brenda

What a cute card! Thanks for giving me a giggle this evening! I must say, that the "disease" has no cure...every month I tell myself I'm going to use what I have, yet the USPS and UPS trucks keep bring stuff to me; I need to start playing with this stuff instead of hoarding it!

I'm glad that you have an attorney to assist with getting the long term care plan into action; I'm sure it's difficult decisions to make and I'm so sorry that you are going through this with your spouse. Sending thoughts, prayers, and hugs your way, Vickie
