I was disappointed in our VA doctor visit. He wanted to know why we were there and what we wanted. He looked in hubby's eyes, ears and throat and listened to his heart.  He asked who was president, what day, month and year it is and that was it. They took seven vials of blood and we were there two hours to have that done. Said any compensation would be based on our income and none of his issues were service based. Okay then, we are finished. All that for nothing.
This is the make and take we made a few weeks ago at the local scrapbook store. It is very cute and very simple to make. It is a covered toilet paper roll glued with a glue gun. It did come apart at the bottom. I think I will make it with heavy cardstock and use red line tape. You could put little treats in it. It is cute as it can be and very simple to make. Be kind to one another.

Oh this is darling, and how clever to use a toilet paper roll. Your trick or treaters would be tickled to get their goodies in something this cute. Just emailed you...Hope the day is going well for you. TFS & Hugs

Oh Brenda, I'm so sorry to hear that the doctor was like that with you both. I don't understand why our country can't take care of it's veterans! It makes me so mad because if anyone deserves to be taken care of, it is our veterans and soldiers who have fought for our freedoms...who give the ultimate gift at times, they life. I know my son will be facing the same fate as your husband is right now one day and it really saddens me to see our service members treated this way. I will continue to pray about this. Now your little treat box is just adorable! I don't like working with the toilet paper rolls either because they are hard to get to stay flat. So I make one out of cardstock too. Just works easier. lol Hugs, Brenda

Hi Brenda. Thank you on my cards. I love that little toilet paper treat box, good way to use them up. I have covered them with wrapping paper and embossed them and hid the electrical cords in them....But pretty soon you won't be able to find toilet paper rolls cause the toilet paper companies are making toilet paper rolls without the rolls. So gather all you can, cause they will be obsoleite in the near future. (LOL)

Sorry to hear about your husband. All that hard work you went through just so you could get him in the VA....my, my, Doctor did not have very good bed side manners, how does he know hubby's issues are not service based???? How could he tell?? That's like my husband got hurt at work, but disability Doctor said he wasn't hurt at work....they just did not want to pay out anything. Why carry insurance then??? This world is getting harder and harder to live in, isn't it???

Oh, my goodness, people are so clever! That is just fantastic!!

I'm really sorry that you got the brush-off by the VA doctor after all the trouble and anguish and lost years of your own life that you put into getting that appointment. That's a big rotten onion in your bowl and it stinks! Big hugs from me! Darnell
