Slug

Yes, slug is what I've become. You would think with all this at home time I would be getting so much done. This is day 29 of my incarceration and I've done nothing. I'm rarely on the computer, didn't realize Easter was coming up since there is no church or gathering for Easter dinner with the family, and had to make some cards in a frenzy. Thought I had plenty of time and I slacked off making cards for a while.  I have watched movies on Netflix and Hulu and I'm almost out of reading material. The library is closed and I need to learn how to download an E book.  I'm doing my best to flatten the curve but since I'm not social distancing from the fridge, my curves are getting bigger. I know we're all in the same situation and I'm so glad it is getting warmer and we can be outside. That sure helps. We have driveway parties with the neighbors where we  gather six feet apart in someones driveway and visit. It breaks up the monotony. So I'm doing nothing and the time is still flying by. Today I am sharing an Easter card I made but I've tried three times now and my computer won't load the pictures of the others I've made. I will turn it off and wait a while and try again later. That is so frustrating but it happened once before then came back on it's own. I wish they weren't so finicky with minds of their own. Sorry, I have rambled.

I used a Newton's Nook stamp colored with Copics. The image is stamped on a panel die cut with a Gina Marie die and mounted on Lawn Fawn paper. The sentiment is also Newton's Nook.

Stay in and be safe and keep six feet from the fridge.

Be kind to one another.

Brenda, this is so pretty. Love the background paper and that cute image - that's beautifully framed.
I hear you on the frig! I think that "thinking" we're hungry all the time has something to do with boredom. Glad you're staying inside even though it's hard. Hopefully we'll be able to get out and mingle soon

A cute card!
I think everyone is finding it a struggle to come to terms with having our freedom curtailed Brenda, think there'll be a helluva party all over the World when this thing finally comes to an end.
We are having 10 minute chats with neighbours over the garden fences most days - even when it is cold - thankfully at the moment we are having some sunny weather which is a bonus as it means I can sit out with a cuppa (we have a lovely uninterrupted view down the valley as we live at the top of a moor in a row of barn conversions) and just take in the scenery and the peace and quiet.
I am however getting a lovely suntan - from the light on the inside of the fridge....!!!! x

lovely card. I identify with you Brenda. I saw a quote on fb about wishing I had time to do some housecleaning and not I have all the extra time I find that is not the reason at all. I am thankful for my Kindle and my craft room. I was able to send out some Easter cards to church members in nursing homes.

Now I know my problem--didn't realize I was supposed to stay 6 ft from the fridge--haha! You made me laugh, Brenda--thank you! I really love this sweet card & I need to pull out my GM dies I got because of seeing your cards using them! Sending big virtual hugs!

HAhahahahahaha you all crack me up...a couple of good laughs :) Brenda when you said, "since I am not social distancing from the refrigerator, my cures are getting bigger" Greta above said, "didn't realize I was supposed to stay 6 ft from the fridge" hahahahahha then another laugh from Viv..."I am however getting a lovely suntan - from the light on the inside of the fridge" HILARIOUS!!! One thing is for sure, we have not lost our humor!!!

Brenda and you have not lost your touch at making lovely and cute cards either. I feel like you too, the inspiration for making cards is zip....today I told myself I would spend some time making cards...this computer seems to take a lot of my time...but it keeps me connected. I need to get OFF!!! Oh, oh I hear the kitchen calling my name again, see ya later.

Spoil sport! .>Is this far enough? . Mind you not much left in the fridge until I finally get my first shopping order delivery that has only taken from 18th March to get a slot. Love this cute bunny card. Loosing all track of time. Thought today was Sunday. We had two Fridays last week cos we got it wrong. The Doc and I have now agreed to call every day Friday. That way we will be right once a week. Simples! Stay safe and well. Go give the fridge a cuddle. You know you want to. Hugs Mrs A. ,

the fridge has become our best friend these days, I'm glad you're managing to stay safe and keep your distance :)

A pretty Easter card Brenda, such a lovely image.
I hope your computer sorts itself out and lets you share the others - they have a mind of their own sometimes!

well I'm glad you found time to make this adorable Easter card. I think we're all pretty much in the same boat these days and feeling overwhelmed, but hopefully it will all end soon. Distancing from the fridge is also my most difficult challenge these days - I think we're all mindlessly eating out of sheer boredom and isolation! Hang in there and just breathe - better days are coming :)

Well, I think there are more of us who should be getting more cards made but like you it has been an effort for me too. But I do love this card you did make. I spent too much time on the computer and some of that was to order things so we would not have to go to town to find them. I think Amazon got some more business then usual from me. I have not been eating more though but certainly have not cut back much. But I had to laugh at that statement about staying 6 feet away from the fridge. Take care now. Your driveway parties sound fun! No neighbors that close here....closest is 1/4 mile or more.

I guess staying away from the fridge probably doesn't mean that making and eating cookies is okay? There wasn't anything that interesting in my fridge! Last week there I had two Saturdays and Sundays. Funny how this COVID-19 is messing with the calendar! Looks like you've done a great job coloring this pretty Easter card! Once you use E-books you'll be hooked. The print is perfect because I set it myself. My Kindle has become a good friend! Take care, my friend.

Awwww ... LOVE your adorable bunny peeking out from the watering can. Gorgeous colour for your spring flowers Brenda. This is such a happy (or hoppy) card! :)

Got a laugh from your write-up. I have the feeling there are lots of us in the same boat! Not doing much except eating or forging for more food in the cupboards and freezer. Always looking for something to "snack" on. Have been watching lots of TV too. I might have to skip the remote so that at least I have to get up to change channels.! :) Take care! xx

You made a beautiful Easter card considering it was real quick, Brenda! Love the card base and lacey panel, and your coloring is fantastic! Even though we are all in the same boat (and all in this together), it feels good to vent so you can do it any time! I don't have any problem keeping six feet from the fridge, thank goodness, because I'm way out in the Playhouse! What? Oh, this? By my feet? Why, yes, it is a cooler. Take care and stay safe, my friend, and say hi to the neighbors for me! Love and hugs, Darnell

Oh, I can empathize. I threw out my diet regimen and it’s the pantry that .i need to distance myself from. 😂
Your card is so adorable. The colours and colouring is beautiful.

I had to laugh when I read your post, especially the part about flattening the curve..... and your advice to six feet from the fridge! Being Good Friday, we had a hot cross bun street party today with our neighbours. I'm lucky enough to live in the circle part of a cul-de-sac and all the neighbours sat outside their front gardens eating hot cross buns and drinking tea or coffee. It was lovely to be able to talk to everyone at a safe distance in the sunshine.

Love your sweet card, what an adorable image! xx
