We are on the downslope of our roller coaster ride with DH. Boys and I went yesterday to celebrate DH's birthday. They called me when we were on the way and said he was dehydrated again and shaking. When we got there he was sound asleep and we could not wake him up. They had increased his dosage from .05 to .1 and instead of decreasing the three times a day it was now increased to four times. They said he had been awake all morning and was alert. Then his B/P dropped and heart rate went up and they are going to start him on an IV. Today they called me and said his vitals are good now and he is much better. He is off the meds as of today because he has the start of pneumonia so he's on an antibotic. I don't know what to think. He is not eating or drinking and is losing weight. This is a short term facility and I don't know how much longer he can stay there. I asked the nurse to have the Dr. call me. I have a lot of questions as to where we are going. I don't know if they can help him. The nursing home is still holding his bed. I also have a call in to the financial dept. of both places. I need to know if insurance is paying or am I. I am very unstable right now. I just can't seem to get it together. I went to the grocery store and right in the aisle I started crying.
My sister in law called this morning and my BIL is in the hospital with blood clots in his lungs. They will keep him several days and get those dissolved. Boy when it rains, it pours. I hope they can get him fixed up and back home soon. She is already going through this with her brother.
Today is Molly's birthday, she is seven. She had a french fry as a treat instead of frozen green beans. She has made this pillow her own and always sleeps on it. Be kind to one another.

Oh Brenda it certainly is a roller coaster you're on. So sorry to hear hubby is not doing so well again. Hope the insurance is going to cover it all. Sending you big hugs and prayers.
Happy birthday to Molly who looks very comfortable on that cushion! Lovely photos of her too!
What a worrying time right now Brenda, remember there have been some really bad downs previously and then he's had an upswing. Fingers are crossed here for you all. So sorry to hear that you felt so overwhelmed by it all in the grocery store - sending you a massive hug and lots of love. And also hugs to Molly, she's gorgeous!
Love, Di xxx
Brenda, did I tell you we had a beagle for 17 years! He was the first dog we owned after we got married! We had love hate relationship with him! We loved him to pieces inside the house, but if he escaped there was NO catching him, and forget about calling him!! He would howl under neighbors windows... so embarrassing! Brenda, you know I am praying for you and your husband! Keep the faith. He is there to help you get through these difficult times. God bless!!
Im so sorry to read this about Hubby and also your BIL. I hope they can get his meds sorted. It is so hard when you feel your not getting the answers that you want. Keeping you in my thoughts and giving you a huge virtual hug. Molly is a sweetie and must be a great comfort to you. Hugs Mrs A.
p.s. That naughty Elf is back on my blog to give you a smile.
I tried leaving a comment earlier but blogspot would not let me. I think now I got the problem remedied. So here goes.....
Now if I can just remember what I said. Sorry to hear about hubby. Sometimes I wonder about all these meds the doctors give us....I think they are just experimenting and don't even know if that med will work. Then we have side effects from the meds then they give us more to counter act.....I don't know, it sure is frustrating and then to see your husband in the condition is had got to be very upsetting. No wonder you had a breakdown at the store. Keep looking up Brenda dear....God sees your frustration and there is a healing coming your way.
Here we go....click and publish.......
YAY......problem solved!!!!
Bless you, Brenda, you are really going through hell right now. I'm so sorry. I can't even imagine the limbo state you are experiencing and it's no wonder you are breaking down in the grocery store. You are grieving and your body is reacting to the grief process. I hope you get some straight answers to alleviate some of your worries when you speak to people. That will help to ground you a bit.
I'm sorry to hear about your BIL, too, and I hope they get those clots resolved and he has a full recovery.
Thank you for ending this post with those sweet photos of Molly hugging her pillow! I'm sending my love and tender "pillow" hugs, Darnell
You know my heart is with you, Brenda. I so love these sweet pictures of Molly--made me smile in spite of this horrible cold. Can't remember the last time I was this miserable, but it's nothing compared to what you're dealing with. Hugs, Greta
