November Twofers

You would think someone would understand that a pot of tinsel embossing powder would have glitter in it. I have sworn off glitter unless it's in drops but no, I went ahead and embossed the white wreath with it. Then I got my sweeper out and went over the craft table, my legs, the floor and the dog bed, washed my hands and started over. I embossed over the shedding tinsel with white embossing powder and that was that. I used pattern paper over the card panel and a white bow over the wreath and glued to a red circle. On my second card I die cut a brown wreath, cut it in half and trimmed it down to make deer antlers.I sponged the sky with a Simon Says Stamp cloud stencil and sponged the trees. The wreath is Creative Expressions by Sue Wilson, the bow is Impressions Obsession. The deer and birch trees are Memory Box dies and sentiment is SU.

Be kind to one another.

Two fab Christmas cards, Brenda. So creative to use part of the wreath for the antlers!

Bwahaha, you would think! We can all feel your glittery pain, Brenda! Your wreath is stunning in the over-embossed white with the white sweet bow. It really pops off that vibrant red and fun pp! And to turn part of your wreath into deer antlers is too clever by half! He's a fine stag with his family and your sponging on the sky and on those birch trees is spectacular!! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #11! BTW, you have a piece of glitter above your right eyebrow. Hugs, Darnell

That's a new one--a wreath for antlers!! You're so clever, Brenda! Love the scene with the deer! You're funny--I don't worry about glitter everywhere, but might have a cleaner crafting space if I did--haha!

I know exactly what you're saying about glitter - but it sure does make a card pretty too.

What a genius idea to use the wreath for antlers! Brilliant! As for the glitter, I hear you loud and clear! I don't enjoy using it much either :) Great twofer cards!

LOL, your glitter experience sounds like me! And the kids love glitter! Sometimes it lasts for months and I find it in the oddest places! Your white wreath is stunning and you are so creative to use the wreath for the deer's antlers! Brilliant, my friend!

Ugh, glitter is my nemesis! When the girls were little, glitter glue was as good as I got - my poor deprived little fairies! Okay, back to the cards... Your white wreath on the red background is striking, and your bg paper is perfect! Well done putting those antlers on the deer, and what a beautiful scene you created! Thanks for joining in the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!

Hahahahaha ... couldn't help but laugh out loud at your glittery embossing adventure, Brenda ... I can so relate (our poor cat!). Even so, you saved your Christmas wreath beautifully ... the crisp white really pops against the red ... and what fun pp in the background! Genius idea making antlers with the wreath branches on your second design ... your calm, serene, winter scene is just gorgeous ... perfect for a thinking of you card! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)

So clever and creative and had to read it carefully to see the other use of the wreath. Made me smile x Great cards both of them and hope you've managed to hoover up all the glitter? x.
