Coloured Dry Embossing

This month Bonnie is leading our group of seven cardmakers with the technique of coloured dry embossing. I used a WRMK 3-D embossing folder and inked over it with Distress Oxide Inks with blending brushes. The sentiment is Sizzix cut from Tonic  mirror cardstock.

My second card is a Simon Says Stamp  3-D embossing folder and done the same way inking over it in yellow and green inks. The happy sentiment is cut and inked from a Die-Namics die. I used a Lawn Fawn stamp and inked with Versamark and embossed with white, then fussy cut.

My next card used the swipe method of inking. The embossing folder is Sizzix Rhombus Pattern and I swiped over the top gently with a Memento teardrop inkpad. The flowers are Elizabeth Craft  design dies sponged with brushes. A pearl was added to each center. The sentiment is Stampin' Up and an oval punch gently inked along the edges.

Big shout out to my fingers - I can always count on them.

Be kind to one another.

What lovely embossing folders you used Brenda and you inked each with different colors wo each has a totally different look - I particularly love your field of daisies! And what a great idea to ink an embossed background pattern! Julia xx

Sounds like that is what I did with my new corner Daisy 3D embossing and die that I got at Scrapbook. I just posted my cards today...great minds working together and I love your funny one liner. Maybe I will add that to my blog.

They're all so beautiful and I can't even pick a favorite - but I did go over and find that wildflower embossing folder and it jumped in my cart. LOVE all these.

Wow Brenda, these cards look so beautiful and I love the look of each technique you used! The first and second cards look so soft and airy. Just so pretty! I also love the swiped method of inking in the last card, all work so well on 3D embossing folders! Hugs, Brenda

Just browsed your blog & after I recovery from surgery I'll hopefully get a better routine for keeping up. So sorry you went through feeling so worn out & I can't believe the roof is a problem again! Sometimes I do think the ostrich has it right with heads in the sand--haha! I do love seeing your cards & I do treasure your friendship, Brenda. Hugs, Greta

Brenda, you really did this technique proud, your cards are awesome! I am trying to lightly blend over an EF paper, but it sure doesn't look soft and nice like yours! I guess I need to practice that technique!! All the ladies did a fabulous job of showcasing this months's technique! Love it!

Your cards turned out beautifully, Brenda! Such lovely soft colours on both, and you managed to do both techniques far better than I did!
