Shampoo

I'm having an issue with shampoo! When I go to wash my hair I squirt a nickel size amount of shampoo in my palm. After I put it in my hair I realize it's not nearly enough! I'm not used to having all this hair and I can't get used to needing more shampoo. Darn this covid! I must be losing it if this is my biggest thing right now. I'm getting ready to make a big trip today. The library is opening up and my books are in. This is as exciting as having a brand new order of stamps in the mail. They are doing a drive through just like the grocery store.

I made this card for my grandson and will enter it in the CAS Watercolour.Challenge. It is an Altenew stamp for the moon and sentiment. The sentiment is embossed and the sky was made with Nuvo Shimmer Powder in Storm Cloud. I sprinkled it on water color paper and spritzed with water until I liked the look. I sponged gray ink over the moon to make it a bit softer.

Be kind to one another.

I hear you loud and clear on the shampoo....our salons are open now and I'm going to be brave and get mine whacked off tomorrow! Mask and all! Should be interesting
Yea on the library opening up for you! Love to read too.
Awesome card for a guy! Love the background.

Have the same problem with using the conditioner. Washed mine this morning and can now tell
I didn't use enough of it as it feels dry as a bone already. Hairdresser would be very pleased with me as keeping hat on head at all times whilst out in garden. Managing to trim The Docs hair for him to his liking.
Your moon card is very realistic. Only safe place to be I reckon. Enjoy your books. Hugs Mrs A.

I haven't noticed using more shampoo, but maybe I am just not paying attention to the pump! I do know mine is beginning to look like a mop! LOL! What a fabulous card for your grandson...love your background! I just heard today that our county is being allowed to open, so maybe a haircut will be in order by mid June!! YIKES!! Have a great week! Heart Hugs, Col

This is a beautiful card, Brenda. I love how you made the background. Very inspiring!
As for the shampoo, I understand that the lockdown is a problem. But this will pass too, my friend. Think positive! Kisses!

Love the night sky background. Your full moon is perfect for it. This is the time I really enjoy having a Kindle ereader. I can go to the library sitting at my computer.

I really like those shimmer powders and the look you achieved with it here! Good luck with that shampoo! I noticed the dish detergent bottles are filled 2 inches from the top now - gees!!

Glad you can get your books at the library now, Brenda. I know what you mean about having too much hair! Our shops are now open & I'm going to chance it soon. Luckily, my gal works alone in a shop on the property where she lives. Bet that shimmer powder is gorgeous & I know your grandson will love this card!

Awesome card, Brenda! Love that night sky and the wonderful details of the moon! Lucky you getting to go pick up books at the library. All the ones I want to read have such long hold lists that it will take years to get through them. I guess I'm stuck buying books for my kindle for now. At least I can read the print on that. Have a fun day!

I love your moon card. Great scene there. Hubby and I were both not liking our shaggy looks so Monday we cut each other's hair. We used to always do it years ago when we were much poorer so we still managed to get a little better looking. So a little dab of shampoo still works for us now.

I just texted my hair stylist yesterday, but I haven't heard from her. Maybe they aren't open yet. But, yes I am ready to get my hair trimmed. I can trim mine up a bit, but not real well. And, my hubby looks like a mountain man, lol! He has thick curly hair. I would not even try to tackle his hair! It's awesome that you are able to get books from your library. Your card is wonderful with the moon...looks very real. And, great background, too! I'm sure your grandson will love it!

Such a pretty night sky card, with a fabulous sentiment. Great idea with the drive through at your library. Had a little chuckle about washing your hair and the amount of shampoo x.

I hear you about the shampoo Brenda! I had more longer hair anyway, so mine is longer now in length too. I don't use more shampoo though as I only wash my head and not the hair below the head. haha I know that sounds funny, but true. We are all in need of a hair cut, especially those who kept their hair short and who went regularly. I don't, so not as bad on me. I am so loving this card! The night sky looks amazing and is so perfect for the beautiful moon you have created. I know I wanted this stamp set but don't believe I ever got it. You did wonderful and I'm sure your grandson loved it! Yay for drive through library books!!!! I miss our little senior center group at my library. It was fun. Hugs, Brenda

Oh Brenda ... you are going to have to buy the economy-sized large bottle of shampoo with all that hair you have now! :) And think of the electricity bill raising as you use your blowdryer! :) Seriously, having this as your biggest problem is a blessing, my friend. Thanks for the laugh!!

I LOVE this night sky with the gorgeous moon. Your grandson is going to love it! Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Watercolour! xx

Don't be mad at shampoo and to much hair. It is collateral damage of covid. Since it is possible to laugh about it, is recomanded to take it into consideration. :-)
I'm glad that also at you libraries are opening. I'm reading Agatha Christie right now. Classic is always the best. :-)
Your card is fabulous. I like how you've created night sky. The sentiment maches perfectly to the moon and to the current situation.
Take care and stay safe!

Such a fantastic masculine card for your grandson! I love the night sky you created! I'm so glad you're getting your books to keep your mind off the mundane things like shampoo quantities!

At least you've got a nice thick head of hair, so that's a good spin on it, Brenda! Why don't you give it a trim? I seem to be the only one who's done it and I've gone twice around now at a half inch each time. I'm due to go in on the 2nd, but I still don't know if they will be open, so I may need to go round it for a third time. I couldn't stand it otherwise, so I admire you for your enormous self-control! And I love your card with it's beautiful night sky and full shaded moon! It's perfect for that wonderful sediment and your grandson will treasure it! I hope you enjoyed your special outing today! Keep well! Love, Darnell

What a lovely card Brenda - very ethereal. So far my hair is getting longer and the only part I've trimmed is the fringe. Which is a tad hard when you need to wear specs to look in the mirror! Enjoy your new reading material - we're a good way behind you I suspect in terms of things reopening. Stay safe.

Love the look you got with the Nuvo shimmer powder! The moon is perfect! Thank you so much for joining CAS Watercolour!

Lucky you, having your library open! Ours still hasn't opened so I'm buying books for my e-reader all the time.

The card is layered up and you can see it IRL but looks a bit flat in my photo. I stuck so much conditioner on my this time I now look like Worzel
Gummage. At least no one is seeing me. Hugs and you look after yourself. Mrs A.

Hi Brenda,
what a very gorgeous card and I love your wonderful design.
Such a super idea the wonderful sky and moon you have created it looks so atmospheric.
Love the sentiment as well.
May I case your design for my Sons Birthday as I am at a loss what to make for him this year.
Just wish I could still drive at least I would be getting out and about instead of being couped up in one place all the time.
Lots of crafty love and virtual hugs from my house to yours. Jenny L.
