Brrr!

The cold front is moving across the midwest this week and it is so cold everywhere. The only good thing that comes of that is the water is so nice and cold right out of the tap. No ice cubes needed.

This was one of the techniques I shared at the retreat last month. Very simple to do and a fun result. I used a Stampin' Up embossing folder and ink, then with gold embossing powder. The thankful die is Reverse Confetti and the embellishment is a Bo Bunny laser chipboard. This is called Faux Patina and you can see a video by mynnette kitchen on You Tube.

Keep warm my midwest friends.

Be kind to one another.

O WAU, this faux patina looks amazing! You've created fantastic card. I have to try to do this effect once.
We have rain and fog. I don't like November...
Have a nice weekend!

You've gotten a beautiful patina here, Brenda! Love the embossed leaves and the chipboard leaves that form a wonderful contrast of texture!

It is cold Brenda! I just am not ready for the cold. lol But you are right, the water out the tap is nice and cold. This card is beautiful my friend! I love how beautiful the patina is on it, will have to go watch how to do this. I need to learn that other technique that you taught too. Or was it this one?! I don't know, but I am loving the look. I really love that thankful frame and those leaves. Who are they by? So beautiful! Hugs, Brenda

Oops, I read but didn't realize that you told the name of the manufacturer of both items. Sorry about that! Hugs again, Brenda

This is so gorgeous and wonderfully designed. I had not heard of faux patina before. But the look is amazing! I don't own a lot of the supplies however so most likely I won't use it. I am trying to limit my spending as my SS check is not covering as much as before.

This is so elegant and classy looking. Getting very cold here too. The butter doesn’t need to be kept in the fridge either!! Raining at the moment so staying indoors and catching up with everyone’s blogs. Alas it is too wet to make it down the garden to the summerhouse. Hugs Mrs A.

I still have my panel on my desk and I couldn't remember the name of the technique, so thank you for posting your beautiful results, Brenda! Yours was my favorite of the whole group! Thanks for teaching it to us at the retreat and thanks for the video, too, so I can go to Mynn if (when) I forget how we did this. Stay in and stay warm snuggled up with that breathing hot water bottle you own!! Hugs, Darnell
