The good thing is the card I made and am entering for the https://casmixup.blogspot.com/ challenge this month called oxidized metal. I used copper mirror c/s and added silver, then gold embossing powder over it one at a time and drying in between. The embossing folder is from Darice.
We have a new bakery and I stopped there when I was out yesterday. I got three different kinds of donuts and sat the bag on the seat next to me. When I backed up the bag flew off the seat and landed on the floor, throwing all three donuts on the floor. I said a very unladylike word and picked them back up. That was the bad thing.
I went to my next errand and when I came out a large black truck was parked facing me in the lane in front of me. The second picture is the strange thing I saw inside. Very interesting day and now I know why I stay home a lot!
Be kind to one another.

Your embossing looks fantastic!!! Wow! And such a crazy day you had! The photo made me giggle :)
Hi Brenda, we have a 3 second, or 5 second, maybe even 7 second rule which means it's fine to pick up off the floor lol! I love that car headrest cover and want one, it's so cool! Your card is beautiful, what an awesome looking technique and gorgeous embossing folder. I'm glad you ventured out to share these with us, made my day :) Cathy x
What a day you had! Thank you for sharing your VERY good card! It's really gorgeous, Brenda! And thank you for sharing that unexpected sight!! Too funny! Now, the thing I want to know is, did you eat those donuts anyway? Good. I hope they were the best ever after all that!! Hugs, Darnell
Hee, hee! I'm so glad you shared your day with us, Brenda! After I oohed and aahed over your beautiful card, I booed the donuts escaping and like Darnell wondered if they could be salvaged. Fresh donuts are too good to waste! What an interesting passenger in that truck! You never know what you're going to see when you go out! But that was definitely a very interesting day!
So sad you had to add some bad to your day. And, I would not care to see a character like that either like was in that truck. I guess it is a funny sight though.
beautiful card Brenda the colours and shimmer are gorgeous. I always go with the 30 second rule so definitely would have picked up the donuts, can't waste something as yummy as that.
Love the passenger :)
You certainly had an eventful day out Brenda! Too bad about the donuts ... I hope you went back inside and bought some more to treat yourself. LOVE the photo you took of the truck. Not something you would see often ... but probably made you laugh, and that's awesome!
On to your card ... fabulous, wonderful, amazing, etc. LOVE the dry embossed daisies and the way you've finished them with the oxidized metal technique. Great work Brenda!! Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up! xx
Mamma said there'd be days like this, but at least you came out unscathed :) At least the little Yoda (or whatever it was) didn't attack you, right? So that's a good thing! If I buy foods I probably shouldn't eat and they never make it to my mouth, I feel it's an omen - someone trying to save me future regrets. I try to always lean toward the positive side even when everything appears negative. Hopefully your next outing goes smoothly. As for the card, it's just gorgeous!! I love those metallic touches on that pretty embossed flower, well done!
Your card is so beautiful, Brenda! Sorry about the donut fiasco & oh how funny to see that facing you! Sending hugs, Greta
This card is gorgeous and love this whole idea! Beautifully done, Brenda. And thanks for the laugh at the car in front of you. I'd go home and open a good bottle of wine after that!
I'm still giggling about the strange thing. And I agree with you, that it is better to stay at home. People became strange. All over the globe.
Bad things always happen. It is useful to get used by them. :-)
Good thing is awesome. :-) I like daisies. It is wonderful motif and you have done fantastic job by oxidizing it.
Hugs, Sonja
LOL!!!!!!! Yikes!!!! I'd stay at home too Brenda! Too funny.
But I LOVE your gorgeous card! So very elegant looking and beautiful.

Oh Brenda!.. sorry about the donuts, but definitely not sorry to see your gorgeous card. Love the colours, the shimmer and the design. And thanks for putting a smile on my face with the truck... so fun.
Stunning card with a great effect and so creative x. I so enjoyed reading your post x.
Wow Brenda, what an amazing card! It is so beautiful!! You got that technique down and I love it. I so want to give it a go sometime too. I just love your stunning card. I also love how you did your sentiment. I want to put sentiments sideways like that at times but then wonder if I should. I love it! Wow, what a day of errands you had. The poor donuts, but hopefully you scooped them up fast and they didn't get any "dirt" on them so you could enjoy them. I had to laugh at the sight in the truck. I forget what this "character" is called, you just never know what you will see! Another reason I stay home a lot as well. lol I hope things got better for you as the day went on. Big hugs, Brenda
Such a beautiful card, Brenda! I know you are a pro at this technique because you were my professor! Honestly, did you use the five second rule with the donuts(NO judgement here if you did)? Yoda, a very strange passenger, is. Maybe in the HOV lane helps he.
You achieved a great result with the Oxidized Metal Technique Brenda, such a pretty design. Thanks for joining us at CAS Mix Up this month.
