Twofer Challenge

Wow, we went from 85 degrees Tuesday to mid 30's yesterday and today. I'm not exactly where or when we will get fall. I think it might have been Wednesday. Fall was here before but left to become summer.

These are my cards for the Twofer Challenge Harvest. On the first card I used my new Stampin Up goodies. The milk can is from the Country Home stamp set and cut with Galvanized Metallic Paper layered with pop dots. The background is a Tin Tile embossing folder cut from the same paper. The wheat in white is a die from Concord & 9th and the kraft wheat is Impression Obession.  The second card has reversed colors of wheat on small polka dot paper and a PTI twine bow. The hello is kraft layered on white Poppy Stamp die. I wish the picture had come out better.  This is for the

Be kind to one another.

I love the old milk can with the wheat sprigs! GMTA, we both used wheat for our Harvest Twofer and we both made a thinking-of-you card as well! LOL We still had our air conditioning on in PA until Thursday evening, and by Friday night we were thinking of turning the heat on! That's quite a drastic contrast in weather, I agree! Enjoy this refreshing Autumn season :)

Two super cards Brenda, a fabulous wheat die, they are both pretty but I especially like the second one - a fabulous CAS design.

We will soon be having a healthy harvest of leaves! I love how you've arranged these in the milk can with the metal accents! And the little "bouquet" of leaves is so pretty on the patterned paper!

Beautiful cards and wonderful subject matter. I always love to see wheat on a card and the old milk can brings back memories when I was a kid on my parent's dairy farm. We stored the milk in cans like that and put them into a cool tank of water.

What a lovely wheat die and you've used it beautifully on both cards. That tin background reminds me of the tin walls I saw in the USA.

Great take on the challenge and fabulous cards, both of them. Love the tin embossing folder and the metallic paper. Amazing inspiration x.

Two spectacular cards to show off that wonderful wheat, Brenda! I love that milk can, and your background reminds me of the tin ceiling in the kitchen of my last house (it was a 1891 Victorian, but the ceiling was new to look old). There's a funny story about that, but for another time. Your hello card is perfect in its monochrome of patterns and texture. I'm so thankful that you are having time with Darnell, and also so happy that you joined in the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!

These are just gorgeous! The wheat stalks are perfect to show in this fab can (which is pretty awesome too). I love the tile embossing in the silver - it certainly shows off this can so well. We've had a little bit of a cooling down, but days still get in the mid-to-high 70-s. For us, it's the drop in humidity that is nice (and is helping with my breathing). Hope all has been well. TFS & Hugs. Well done on the harvest 2fer!

Great Twofer cards Brenda!! LOVE that tin embossing folder. Makes an AWESOME background for your card with the jug of wheat. Has a more masculine look with the colours. Your second card is so pretty all done in neutral with your wheat. Two wonderful cards. Thanks for playing along with us at Twofer Card Challenge! xx

Having seen these beautiful designs in person, I agree that the photos don't do them justice! They are really fantastic, Brenda, and so filled with texture and tactility. (I didn't think tactility was a word, but it's not underlined so it must be! How about that?!) That old tin-type e/f was a perfect choice for the milkcan background and I love the sweetness of your monochrome Hello card with that super bow!! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #10! Hugs, Darnell

Trying to catch up after being gone & guess I'm too old--haha! Anyway, finally here & oh my goodness--I absolutely love both your cards, Brenda! I recently gave in & got the C&9 leaves & now I must make use of them! PS--I stare at your header every time I come to your blog as it truly is my favorite. I love mine, but yours is just amazing!

Oh Brenda, I am loving your twofer cards!!! I did not get a chance to play in the challenge between Kahlua and going away, but loved this prompt for this month. Since Dwayne was a farmer, I loved harvest time. Loved going on the combine with him and wheat was my favorite crop that he grew. So I am loving your milk can and wheat in it. That embossing is so cool too, such a great card my friend! I love your second one too. Well done on the challenge Brenda! Hugs, Brenda
