It is so hard to make a sympathy card because you are so sad for the person you need to send it to. I used a Darice embossing folder on vellum. I stamped the bottom of the vellum with a Simon Says Stamp and embossed with gold embossing powder. I used Copic markers to color it in, then added the panel to a white card base.
I have a stepladder because my real ladder left when I was a kid.

There I was, somber, feeling sad about your need for a sympathy card, LOVING the design and colors, and then you whack me out of it with that silly funny! It's a trip to visit you, Brenda, lol! But, seriously, I think your card is stunning. It's sure to bring comfort and be a keepsake. Hugs, Darnell
Stunning sympathy card, Brenda. Such a beautiful design. xx
This card is just beautifully crafted! I like the colorful spray with the white vellum - it's a wonderful creation for such a sad time. I've had to make quite a few sympathy cards lately too.
Beautiful card. Vellum always softens a card. Love that you embossed the vellum. The flower spray is so pretty.
Beautiful card for a sad occasion Brenda.
Hugs Pam x
I find it very hard to make sympathy cards too - and to be honest, I usually end up buying one instead. I absolutely love your card Brenda. It's so much prettier and means more since it wasn't a store bought card. It's beautiful!

Beautiful card, Brenda! I love the look of the embossing and coloring on vellum---so pretty! I've created some sympathy cards in the moment recently too and it's so tough. I keep telling myself I need to build up my supply of them so that I don't have to create through tears any more. Sending hugs to you.
Sorry you needed a sympathy card, but this is beautiful. The recipient will appreciate it.
What a beautiful embossed sentiment, Brenda! I love it embossed on the vellum and the pretty colored image below it!
I agree it is always hard to make a sympathy card. The stamping and colouring on vellum turned out beautifully!
Unique, elegant & beautiful, Brenda! Sorry you needed a sympathy card.
I agree Brenda, sympathy cards are so hard to make as your heart is hurting for the person who lost someone they loved dearly. This one you made is just beautiful. I love the embossing on the vellum and your pretty flowers. Hugs, Brenda
