My granddaughter was in town last week and last Sunday we had lunch and she brought me flowers. I was so surprised and I made this card for her. The flowers were pink with dark pink centers and this was as close as I could come. The frame is Waffle Flower mounted on a Simon Says embossed Vine Canopy panel. The paper is Alexandra Renke. I embossed a white thank you on black c/s but I didn't want to cover up the flowers so I'll just stamp thank you inside.
If your eyes hurt from too much screen time - there's a nap for that.

Beautiful flowers. They are enhanced by the background E/F. I think you are right not to put a greeting on it and cover up any of those flowers. I am not with you on the race thing. My husband has it on the TV but it is way to noisy for me. I go to the other room and craft. Way better!
Beautiful Brenda, it must have been fun catching up with your granddaughter and I know she would have loved the card xx
Beautiful card Brenda and perfect for your granddaughter.
Love the quote at the end of your post. xx
This is beautiful, Brenda! I love that you left the gorgeous Renke artwork be the star of the card and how you added tons of interest with the bright pink scalloped frame and perfect embossing! As for the Indy 500. What? I missed it. It's only one p.m. Sunday here and after I checked my computer (I had that nap earlier) I was going to check the listings to see if the Race was this afternoon or on Memorial Day itself. I put it on just in time to see the winner pouring milk on his face ... so I will be like an Indy native and watch the replay! Hugs, Darnell
Your card is so pretty in the pink tones and wonderful flowers.
This is so pretty! I just love those flowers with the hot pink frame and embossed panel too! We used to listen to the Indy 500 on the radio back here in PA many moons ago, but through the years we've lost interest in racing. Now we just putter along S.L.O.W.L.Y. LOL
So sweet of your granddaughter to come visit with flowers! And, you card for her is so pretty with the embossed background, lovely design paper, and frame! We were at a grad part yesterday and a couple of the guys watched the Indy race. At one point, they said that Jimmy Johnson was in the lead. I’m not even sure who won. I’ll have to look it up. Anyways, hope you are having a great weekend! Take care, hugs!!
What a sweet granddaughter! This card is a wonderful way to say thank you! Love the pretty flowers and that wonderful embossed background! I think it's time for a nap!
Gorgeous pink card for your sweet granddaughter! I thought of you as I watched the race, knowing you listen on the radio due to the black out. Growing up we usually went on a picnic with friends & my dad always had a portable radio so he could listen to the race.
Going around the Indy track is exciting too, I've been lucky as I got to go around twice now and just think how excited it must be racing around it! I can imagine listening on the radio would be so much fun, I love that you can listened to it live and then watch the replay on TV. How fun your granddaughter was in town, I love that she gave you flowers! Your thank you card is just gorgeous Brenda and I'm sure your granddaughter will love it too! I love the flower stamp you used, kind of reminds me of cherry blossoms, you have it colored up so beautifully. The frame really draws the eye in and I love that embossing folder you used. Glad you enjoyed the race my friend! Hugs, Brenda
Hope you enjoyed the race and what a pretty Pink card and love the texture from the dry embossing Brenda x.

Wow, such a pretty card, I love it! x
Thought I left you a comment, but doesn't seem to be here. I never miss watching the race. Left when I was a baby, but Indy is still my roots! Beautiful card!
