This card is for my granddaughter's birthday. She is such a dog lover and has two, along with a cat and two birds. I used blending brushes to make the background, then embossed it with a Darice e/f of puppy prints. The panel was die cut with a die from Gina Marie. The puppy is Simon Says stamp and the sentiment is from Impression Obsession cut in black glossy Tonic cardstock.
Dogs prepare you for babies.
Cats prepare you for teenagers.

Great card for your granddaughter. That is a cute puppy! I am sure she will love it!
Such a cute dog card, Brenda! Beautiful blending and embossing! Your granddaughter will surely appreciate it!
Great quote, Brenda, and great birthday card which she will love! That girl is a true animal lover with a big heart, just like her grandmother. I love your background blending in sunny colors! Hugs, Darnell
This is adorable, I love the embossed background, and how cute is that dog! Xxx
Adorable card and extra loving the blending and that embossed background. So glad you are up and running again with the computer x.
Your granddaughter will love it for 2 reasons--her grandma made it especially for her and it is just really cute. That puppy is adorable. The paw print embossing is a fun element.
How cute is this one with all those embossed paw prints in the background! Bet your DGD loves it!
If dogs prepare us for babies and cats prepare us for teens, what prepares us for old age? Alligators? LOL
If this is the case, your granddaughter will be well prepared for a family! LOL! Love this sweet pup and the bright yellow background with the paw prints! Sounds perfect for her!
Oh what a sweet birthday card for your dog-loving granddaughter. Beautiful blending.
Hi Brenda, what a time you have been having. I dread the day when our computers pack up. They are both running on Windows 7 plus our phone supplier is switching off the 3G network we are on in a few months time. I have reluctantly bought a smart phone in preparation but have yet to take it out of the box. I hate new technology with a big H. Apologies for not being around much. Have several health issues on the go at present so only blogging as and when able. Love the quotes you have been adding to your posts. Very apt. Gorgeous fun card for your Grandaughter . Keep safe and sane. Hugs Mrs A.
Boy isn't that the truth when it comes to getting rid of things you no longer want....you just didn't know you didn't want them! lol Glad you haven't lost your sense of humor with all this Brenda. It is frustrating none the less. I just had something similar happen. All of a sudden I couldn't get into my Cricut Design Space, it kept telling me that the password was wrong. It happened after an update to the site. Was on the night before, got on the next morning *before my fall* and wouldn't accept the password I've had since the beginning of 2000! Called, had to set up a whole new account because they had my old email. Even though I changed it, for some reason it reverted back to the old. Lost all my uploads, all my saved projects, fonts, etc...Thankfully I still had the files for uploads, but projects will have to be done over if I want to make them again. Frustrating to say the least, but I am moving forward cause I can't change it! lol
Your card is so cute Brenda! I love the ink blending and the shades you used. Your little puppy is adorable. I'm sure your granddaughter will love this birthday card! Hugs, Brenda
