Missing everyone

I am missing all my friends so much and but have chosen to not go out, as have many of my friends. We talk on the phone but we miss having lunch and just getting together. I made this card for my friend Marilyn. We used to rent a house with two other gals back in 1966! Oh my, what fun we had back in the day. Three of us met our husbands when we lived there and the two gals are still married to them. I would have been, but death do us parted. We don't get to see the other two gals very often but Marilyn and I get together every month or so and have lunch, shop or see a movie. I miss her so much. We vacationed together and the guys both played golf while we went to the beach or shopped. I miss those days too.

Sorry, I got carried away with the memories. This is a Katzelkraft Mini stamp and a Gerda Steiner sentiment. I cut the circles with Spellbinders dies and used Papertrey twine. I did tighten up the twine on the bottom. Sometimes I see things on the picture that I didn't on the card. I'm not sure why that is.

Be kind to one another.

OMG, Brenda, I love that image. And the sentiment is so perfect for these times. Your blog is a great place to share memories. I too miss going out to lunch and visiting with friends. Here's one thing we did. Several of us made our own lunches or picked them up from drive thru and met a local park. We were able to find picnic tables near each other so could keep a distance. Did you know picnic tables are 6 ft long? We took a tape to check that.

Love that face, what a perfect stamp combination :) Wonderful memories, it's so hard at the moment to spend time with all our friends.
I know what you mean about looking at pics and seeing all those little details that we missed on the cards.

A fantastic way to say "I miss you", Brenda! Love this ostrich and your friend will too! I see things in the photos that I don't notice before the picture. I think my camera messes up those cards. Then I have to fix them!

We missed not being able to be with our friend Brian at the end due to the Covid 19 restrictions and that is something we will always regret not being allowed to do. Being apart from loved ones and friends is no fun. Memories are to be treasured for sure. Keep on smiling and give Daisy a hug from me.hugs Mrs A.

What a funny motiv! :-) The sentiment is really up to date. Fantastic card for your friend. I think she will like it.
I hope it will be better soon in the States and in the whole world. I miss my son very much. He is not allowed to come home because of the situation at you.
Take care! Hugs, Sonja

Oh my goodness--an adorable card & so perfect to send to your friend during this terrible pandemic! So glad you're being careful. I truly don't understand how people can ignore that we now have 160K US deaths. That is not just a flu & it isn't magically disappearing. People behind us had a party in their back yard tonight. So irresponsible & selfish. Can't imagine getting back to normal without a vaccine that works. Hope you & Daisy are doing well together. Sending hugs, Greta

What a hoot! Even in these trying times, we have to somehow keep our senses of humor. Marilyn will get a big kick of this, Brenda! It helps to know that we are all in this together ... oh, but wait, not really because a lot of other countries have been able to open up and see their friends because their citizens did the right thing for the sake of the whole country. What a concept. It's pretty stupid to have success stories laid out for us to follow and we don't follow them. Sorry. I got started. Maybe when the weather is cooler and less humid you and Marilyn can meet on the front porch or at a park. Hang in there, my friend! Miss you! Hugs, Darnell

I know exactly how you feel Brenda, I miss going out to lunch with my friends and to the movies. I miss the library group as well. And like you, I miss getting together with our friends and going on vacation...I still go away with our friends, but it is different not having Dwayne along. But as you said, "death do us parted". I did just get together with a friend the other day and we went and had breakfast. Strange and different but we still had a great time catching up. I don't do that often though and wear my mask! Like you, I don't get out a much, but feel like has to move on so will go out on occasion but am careful and use common sense. I am loving your card Brenda! That face, that sentiment, well...it perfectly sums up how everyone is feeling! Well done my friend! Hugs, Brenda

I miss your face, Brenda! We were camping again at Turkey Run (no tornadoes this time) and I sure wish I could've hopped over to see you! The time will come when I can again! Anyway, I love that ostrich and how fun to pair her up with that sentiment! I can just see the four of you in that house back in the 60s, I bet there was a lot of laughter and fun going on!

What a fun card Brenda. You must have had fun making this. What nice memories it has brought back for you. I have missed my friends too, but have had a few of them over for lunch recently, keeping our social distance of course! I have really enjoyed zooming with my crafty friends. What a great way to spend time together. With us being from all over the place, that doesn't matter with zoom. :) xx
