Do I have a beak?

That is the question my friend, Marilyn, called and asked me after she got the card I posted Friday. She is coming down Friday and we will have lunch on the porch. I am so looking forward to it. She has been staying in too so I think we are safe.

We had serious thunderstorms come through last night and Daisy just shakes and shakes. Does anyone have a Thundershirt for their dog and does it work? I think she needs something to soothe her.

I created this card for my next door neighbor. Every time she goes to the store she calls me to see if I need anything. I blended Distress Oxide Inks and used my new Picket Fence Spliced Heart die with Nuvo Glimmer Paste. The best human is a sentiment from Mama Elephant and the thank you from Lil Inker Designs. I will get to post this to NBUS as all three of those are NBUS.

Be kind to one another.

Well, I thought _I_ was the best human you know, but okay. I'll let it go this time because I so appreciate Barbara, too, and how she looks after your needs when she runs an errand. She will cherish this card, Brenda. The heart was the perfect image choice. I love the colors and I'll bet that schparkle from the paste is amazing!

I'm glad you got through those nasty storms that went through, but I'm so sorry to hear that Daisy is afraid. It must break your heart, so I hope someone can help you with the thundershirt info. I know you'll be so happy to see Marilyn and chat away for hours on the porch! Keep well and thank you for sharing with everyone at NBUS! Hugs, Darnell

I've heard that weighted blankets do the trick for humans and dogs, so the thundershirt might be a good option too! How lucky are you to have a neighbor who thinks of you when she goes to the store! You are blessed and she's deserving of this beautiful card you made for her! She clearly has a big heart; just like the one you placed on her card! Enjoy your lunch with your friend!

I love that you and your friend are getting together for a lunch on the porch Brenda, I think you both will be just fine. We still need to live life, we just need to be cautious and have common sense. Poor Daisy, I feel for her! Our dogs don't like the thunder, but they don't shake. Savannah lays back in the hallway, Kahlua at between my feet and Maverick, well he just does his own thing. lol Glad you got through the storms without any mishap. We have had some dozy's too. But I love a good thunder storm and lightening show. I don't know about the shirts for the dogs, but would be worth a try. I hope someone else can verify it for you. Your card is amazing like your neighbor! I love the sentiment and I love that heart with the ink blending and sparkle. I bet in real life it is just gorgeous! That is a good neighbor to have my friend and you are so deserving! We need to all take care of each other, now and always. Sending big hugs from me and my kids to you and Daisy! Brenda

Oh how beautiful! You do find out in times of crisis who the really good people are. I had a neighbor who did the same thing for me until I figured out the on-line thing & masks became mandatory so I could go inside during sr hours.
