Me again

Hi blogger friends if you are still here. I just can't seem to get my act together. I have made some cards that have been sent and some that haven't. I've also made four that ended up in the trash. It's like I've never made a card before and it put me off of trying. So, I went back to the tried and true and didn't try any new techniques.

I did visit my grands and it was wonderful. At my granddaughter's her brother was there and so was my other granddaughter and her boyfriend so I got to see everyone all in one day. Now I'm home staying in for 14 days just in case I was exposed and don't infect anyone else. That visit will hold me for a while since the cases are going up again.

I made this card for a friend going through a hard time right now. I used a cuttlebug embossing folder and Impression Obsession die that cuts seven dies at once so I layered three of them. The stones are Hero Arts called Tranquility. I wanted it to stay tranquil so I didn't add a sentiment on the front. Inside it says sending positive vibes your way. I think we all need that right now.

I'm having so much trouble getting my camera to load pictures so I went with my phone. My phone photos are usually blurry because my hands aren't steady but I braced it against my body this time!

Be kind to one another.

The photo is great, Brenda. It shows all the wonderful and tranquil detail of your comforting design. I love the e/f you used and all the frame layers drawing the eye to the peaceful stones. That's very kind of you to self-quarantine for two weeks out of consideration for others. So like you! Praying you are not infected, however, and so glad you got a chance to see your grands! Hugs, Darnell

Dear Brenda, I'm so glad for you to see all your grandchildren. You are very responsible to stay at home. Although I'm sure you are not infected. :-)
I like your card. It is so peaceful and nice. Your decisio not to add sentiment is right.
Don't be sad if some cards ends in trash. It is the most normal thing in this unnormal times. :-)
Hugs, Sonja

I discovered that my phone has an option of speaking instead of pushing the button. It's helped me get better pictures, I think. Maybe yours has that option, too. However, this one came out great & I know your friend will be comforted to get it. I love that ef--need to use it more. Hope no one was sick & that it stays that way! So awful how cases are rising. How in the heck did a pandemic become a political issue in the US?! I craft to get away from how depressed I feel.

The soft embossing in the background makes this a perfect tranquil card! I love the simple design! I too have had difficulty with pics on my camera since switching to Windows 10. I have to delete every set of photos I take from my camera after downloading them, or else the next photos I take will not download to my pc. It took me quite a while to figure that out, but now things are working better.

That is truly a serene peaceful picture. I remember traveling somewhere that had a lot of these stacked rocks along the beach. Very pretty against the ocean backdrop. Glad you could spend time with grands. Our times together are even more precious now.

I'm so glad you were able to see the grands all at once Brenda! It is trying times for sure and effects the moods of all of us. I have a hard time getting it together too, but it must be even harder for you being alone. You are such a sweetheart quarantining yourself for 14 days just in case, just like you, forever thoughtful! Your card is stunning Brenda. I love how serene it is, the die cuts draw the eye into those stones so nicely. I also love the serene color combo. You haven't lost your touch, it is just the mood of the situation me thinks. We are all feeling helpless, frustrated and everything else. Our normal life has been taken away from us and we have to learn a whole new normal. Which I am hating, but we have to do it. Hang in there my friend and know my phone is always ready for a phone call from you if you need to just chat! Hugs, Brenda

Hi Brenda,
that was lovely for you seeing the grand children it's been so long without any time spent with loved ones.
I love your card it's a fab design and such pretty colour choices.
Great and very subtle embossing too.
I am having the same prob with my Mojo it seems to have gone to sleep and is not willing to wake up yet.
When I do make something lots of things go wrong and they are binned.
Lots of crafty love and hugs from my house to yours. Jenny L.

Hi again. It seems to take a while for your posts to get in my email and sometimes it takes a while for me to get into all my emails! What a lovely, tranquil card! Just thinking about listening to water makes me feel tranquil. Love that embossed background!

I hope things work out well for your friend. She should be uplifted by your thoughtful card. Happy you were able to visit with your grandchildren. We were able to get three of ours for a couple of days to help around our house. They have been staying at home, as we have, so felt safe to have them here. Stay safe!

This card is so tranquil I am sure your friend enjoyed receiving it. The Doc wanted to give the car a spin so I said I would go with him. We just did a big loop around the country roads and back home again. I haven't been in the car since March lockdown and coulddn't wait to get back indoors. The Dentist has just rung and brought forward my appt to next Monday and my heart is racing just thinking of having to go out. I have made face masks (several for both of us) and will be wearing one until I have to open my mouth wide!!!! Hope you stay well and safe. I do not like these times we are being forced to live in. Hugs Mrs A.

You card definitely says "tranquil", Brenda. Great image and perfect colours that are soothing to the eye. Your friend will love to get this. I think this virus has played havoc with our mojos. Sometimes things are good, but when they are bad, it's so frustrating. Good idea to go with your tried and true style to kick your mojo back to work. :) The card is gorgeous, so your idea definitely worked! Good photo with your phone Brenda. It might be work getting a very small tripod that your phone can stand in so you don't have to worry about moving. xx
