A little more breaking out

My sister in law came Monday and my son on Wednesday and we ate lunch on the front porch far apart from one another. It was wonderful to see "real" people and visit for a while. I am going to visit my grandson on Monday to see the new house and the card I sent is below. Also, going by my granddaughters new apartment and dropping off an end table for her. I will be masked up like the CDC says and not staying inside long. We will visit outside.

I used my new Birch Press string art die and a house die from Impression Obsession cut in red c/s and backed with yellow for lights inside. The sentiment is Catherine Pooler stamped on vellum.

I will add this to NBUS since the Birch Press die is visiting for the first time. as well as the Catherine Pooler sentiment.  I haven't made many cards but at least I used new products..

Be kind to one another.

I love this, Brenda! The problem with running NBUS is my own mountain gets higher and higher! That string die is so cool and it is great for drawing the eye right to the focus pocus which, in this case, is the kids' new house! Great idea to put yellow behind to represent the lights and stamping the sediment on vellum looks wonderful!! I'm happy you were careful and able to see real people! Keep on with it while being safe! Hugs, Darnell

Oh I love your card! That string art die is the coolest! Precious card and know they'll love it. Great news on getting out some now too! I got out a few times but have now been placed back on lock down by the daughter. Our numbers in Texas just keep getting worse instead of better. So sad.

Love, love, love that background die, Brenda! It makes a perfect frame for the cozy new home! Enjoy your visits. Nance came one day last week and we sat at opposite ends of the studio, wore our masks and had a lovely visit while we colored. It's so nice to be able to have real conversations with people. I've really missed that but I'm thankful for the computer and phone so I can keep up with folks.

The string art die is brilliant Brenda! Love the frame it makes for your little house and what a good idea to put yellow paper behind it to represent lights. The one good thing about the lockdown situation is that it makes you really grateful to see people face to face! So pleased you've been able to see some of your loved ones safely. Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog. I hadn't realised you'd lost your Molly and I'm so sorry as I know that will have left a huge hole in your heart. Sending hugs, Vicky x

This is fantastic card for your grandson, Brenda! It is not every day occasion to move into the new house. Well done, grandma! :-)
I'm happy for you to have visits. It is nice to know that you will be able to visit your grandson and granddaughter too. Just take care! We were very careful in our country during the pandemic, but now people are to careless. I'm afraid we will have problems again. :-(
Have a great day! Stay safe.
Hugs, Sonja

Wow! Gorgeous card Brenda. LOVE that string art background. I've not seen that before. Your red house really pops against the wonderfully textured white background. It's so great that you've had some visits from family and you will be off to see more. Enjoy! xx

Don't know why but can only comment when doing so on my computer.Won't work on my ipad. Strange. Anyway I love the string die on this card. Looks super here with the little houses. Not tried going out yet. I have a dentist appt for middle of July and a Hair appt for the begining of Aug. That will do me for now. Can't say i am looking forward to going back out into the world again. Hugs Mrs A.

OMGosh Brenda, I am so loving this card! I love that die you used and love even more that it was a NBUS. The house fits perfectly in the center too. I thought you did string art! lol I was like, "what?!!! I need to learn this!" haha I am glad you are having some human contact once again, even if it is at a social distance. It really is wonder to get together with family and friends some again. Especially for those who live alone! I was lucky in having Bret home with me for a couple of months, so could talk with him instead of myself. lol I'm bet the new house was nice and am glad you got to see it. Glad to you got to see your granddaughters new apartment as well, good for you! Hugs, Brenda

Fabulous. Love that string art die! You’ve used it perfectly to highlight the adorable house.
Visiting and seeing “real” people is amazing. I saw my brother and finally met my newest nephew (1-1/2 month old) this past weekend and can’t wait for the next family get together... with safe physical distancing of course.
