Moving On

I want to thank you for the wonderful uplifting comments on my meltdown. It had been so long since I got to make a card and I was feeling like I had really forgotten what to do. I know we all have things happen when we are making cards and all have bad days. I'm back on track!  I wanted to enter the

so I got out my Simon Says heart stencil and used DOX spun sugar, worn lipstick and festive berries. Then I went over it with Nuvo glimmer paste for sparkle. The pink heart was cut from craft foam with a Kat Scrappiness heart die and the sentiment is cut from foam with a SSS die. Since I cut the sentiment with a die I didn't stamp anything so I can't enter it. Maybe I'm not quite back on track but my heart was in the right place.

Edited to add: I got a sweet comment from Loll asking me to link up to the challenge. I went back and looked at the rules and realized I only had to use a new stencil (which this is) and I did not have to stamp on it. I had that mixed up with the Mix Up Challenge where you have to have stamping on it. So, I'm linking this card. Whoopee! Thanks Loll.

One more edit: Darnell gave me a heads up for the challenge Just Us Girls so I am off to enter this card there too. Thanks, Darnell.

Be kind to one another.

Hi Brenda,
so sorry to hear things have not been great.
So glad you are back crafting your lovely creations.
This is such a very pretty design and the pink is gorgeous and so lovely just my fave colour.
I too am finding I have to push myself to craft just seem to want to sit and fall asleep a lot on my new meds always something with side affects to worry one isn't there.
Lots of crafty love and hugs from my house to yours. Jenny L.

Love the ombre heart stenciling for your background, Brenda. So pretty and such a bright and pretty large heart die for your focal point. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Stencil ... you need to add a link to our challenge, please. xx

Glad to see you are back on track. That was a great save you made on the card you showed below. I have made mistakes on cards and then tried to fix and just made worse but by the time you have done that you have invested so much effort into it that you just have to keep on going as by now I have no time left to start all over again. Hugs Mrs A.

Card challenge or not, your card is a winner in my book! Those shimmery ombre hearts are gorgeous, and I love the soft look of the foam heart and sentiment!

This is so pretty, Brenda! Love the sparkly pink hearts in the background and the dimension of the large heart! We all have our days where things don't work out. I know I do.

I'm glad you added that bit, Brenda, because I was going to tell you that. It is way too gorgeous not to add to the challenge! Go you for even adding schparkle paste to the tiny hearts! It adds a ton, as does the dementia from the foam sediment. If it is still going on, Just Us Girls has a dementia challenge, so you could edit to add that one as well! I somehow missed your melt down so I'm walking backwards ... Hugs, Darnell

That is a gorgeous card. Beautiful colors and design with all those hearts. I seem to be in a funk at the moment and not wanting to be creative too. But I know it will soon pass. I did force myself to do a few this week regardless.

Beautiful card--love the stenciling! Never use colored fun foam, but this makes me think I should!

What a beautiful card Brenda! I love the stenciling you did, I really need to get my stencils out and have a play with them myself sometime soon! I love the colors you chose and love how you cut your heart out of foam, makes it look nice and puffy. So happy you were able to enter the challenge as well. I was thinking that I didn't think you had to stamp, but wasn't really sure myself. lol But happy Loll to you to enter the challenge as it is a beautiful card. I hear you with meltdowns and not being able to make anything crafty. I get itchy to craft and right now, that doesn't happen very often! Hope to see your twofers soon too my friend! Hugs, Brenda
