Welcome to May in Indy

This is the month of May in Indy. Exciting events going on all month long. The mini marathon, the Grand Prix, choosing the 500 princess, the 500 parade and the race. Downtown has events going on all month and lots of celebrities in town. It is a special month for our city. People come from all over the world and the hotels are full, the restaurants are full and the traffic is a nightmare. We see lots of out-of-towners even in the suburbs at restaurants and hotels. Everyone is friendly, happy and we meet the nicest people. I have an extra bed if anyone wants to come!

This is another great card we made at SU class. It is an easel card and was so fun. We used the Tea Together stamp set and decorated the teapot and cup. This would be a sweet Mother's Day card for a tea drinker by changing the sentiment.

Be kind to one another.

This is so pretty and feminine with the tea pot and cut! Perfect for a little gathering of friends, or even mother's day! Great card!

A month that really reminds me of my roots in Indy! Wish I was using that extra bed! This is really beautiful, Brenda! Love the way you decorated the pot & cup! I never make unusual folds, but enjoy seeing them.

Great easel card, Brenda. Save the extra bed for me!!! I am coming!!! Ha ha! It's a long distance from Greece, unfortunately, but... you never know! Ha ha! Kisses, my dear friend.

Wish I could come. I'm not big on crowds but I'd love to spend time with you. Maybe some day. Meantime, I'll enjoy your pretty teapot!

Well that was a nice surprise! I love the teapot, how fun! I have lived in Indiana my entire life and never gone to the 500 race. I know it draws people from all over the world, but never held much of an interest for me. Enjoy your weekend!

What a pretty feminine card and a wonderful sediment again, Brenda! There was a challenge that recently had a teapot mood board, but sadly I can't think which one it was and it might be closed now. I didn't realize that the Indy activities went on for the entire month of May. It's a huge money maker for the City the State and all the local businesses! Like the Kentucky Derby. Did you see it today? What a historical and emotional ending. I can't believe it's the first time in all those decades that there has been a disqualification. And the winner ended up being something like 64 to 1 odds! Ka-ching for some lucky people!! Hugs, Darnell xxoo
