Peace

That is the word for the Christmas Challenge and I wanted to make a card for that. This is the first time I'm really trying to make Christmas cards during the year and I'm two for two but it's early yet.  Do you ever have a card you've made that you just love? This has to be my favorite card I've ever made. I think I said that before but now it's this card. I keep looking at it. It's the background I'm so happy with. I have such a hard time with color and color blending so this impressed me even though I made it! I used my new brushes that are like the Picket Fences but not that brand. I love them. I blended yellow, orange, pink and lavender inks and added black. The stamp is Impression Obession and I used a Hero Arts die for Peace and a HA stamp for the rest of the sentiment. The peace die cut is blended with orange and pink and the sentiment is brushed with the same.  It isn't as vibrant in the picture as it is in person.

Be kind to one another.

This is AMAZING, Brenda! Beautiful sunset with a gorgeous silhouette scene. I love how you've used the same sky colours on your peace die-cut. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Christmas! xx

Gorgeous card, Brenda. Beautiful color scheme and those brushes blend so smoothly ( I have the Picket Fence ones and looove them). The black makes the colors pop that much more and love you used the same colors in the focal sentiment. Thanks for joining just at CAS Christmas!

Gorgeous! That sky is incredibly and your black streaks add realism to it! Just amazing and fabulous colors too. I agree with you about difficulty blending colors.

Such a gorgeous sky, Brenda! You should be proud of it. it's so fun when your own art makes you happy - as it should! Looks like I should check out those brushes.

WOW! This is gorgeous, Brenda! Love the blending of colors! I see why it's your favorite card ever. You may want to frame it! Thanks so much for sharing this with us at CAS Christmas!

I second your vote, Brenda! This really is spectacular! It looks like a photo of a sunset! Just superb! Are those brushes similar to the Clarity brushes? I'll go check them out. I'm with you on preferring brushes for blending backgrounds over the sponges. When I make a card that I can't believe I made, I keep it, always meaning to make another one ... you know how well that's worked, I'm sure! But the cool thing about it being a Christmas card is that you can put it where you can see it every day and enjoy it for months!! Hugs, Darnell xxoo

Wow Brenda, this card is stunning and indeed peaceful! I love that beautiful background you have created. I don't know what you used as I've not heard of Picket Fences, but I'm assuming it is the brush that everyone says if life changing and looks like a make up brush. I have one I plan on trying out-but it really is a make brush. lol Your blending looks amazing and I can see why you are thrilled with this one! Hugs, Brenda

Stunning, Brenda! I can see why you love how this turned out. Love the warm non-traditna colours. Gorgeous ink blending. Would love to know your brand of “Picket Fence” brushes. Thank you for joining us at CAS Christmas. x

No wonder you love this card, Brenda--so gorgeous! Love the colors of ink you used. Did you get the $9 brushes on Amazon that look just like the PF ones? That's what I did & they're really great.
