I seem to have another unintended blog break. I have been so very sick since Tuesday and haven't been on the computer. I knew I felt so bad, slept all day Tuesday and got started on my meds Wed. for bronchitis. I did feel somewhat better Thursday but laid around most the of day. Yesterday was worse. Could hardly breathe and wasn't having a productive cough like I usually do by day two so I was concerned. I went to Immediate Care today and turns out I have pneumonia in both lungs. They were so through with chest x ray (three views) breathing treatment and the Dr. called the radiologist at the hospital to have him check my x-rays against my previous ones. The problem is that now it is 1:04 am and I am shaking life a leaf and can't sleep. He gave me Agumenton and said it could cause rapid heart rate. That is not the case but I am really shaking and trembling so hard I can barely type. I will say the meds are working if you want a productive cough. I am coughing so hard I may become incontinent. I don't feel that will be a good look for me.If  I'm not better in two days I am to go directly to the ER. Dr. said don't do anything, just take it easy. They took me out in a wheelchair to my car that had been parked there for three hours and 40 minutes in nine degree weather to drive to the pharmacy and walk through the entire store to get my meds, that so far have made me crazy. So, I'm trying to determine if it was a good day or bad day.

If that weren't enough, when I got home, Molly who normally eats her dinner at 4 pm almost chewed my leg off since it was 8 pm. Turns out she made her own meal of a chocolate candy bar that my granddaughter included in my Christmas bag. She has been tossing and turning every since she went to bed. I hope she will be ok. That's my narrative to begin 2018 and we're only 7 days in. Surely better times are on the way. Be kind to one another.

Oh dear Brenda! It's good that you went to get checked out so that they could diagnose what was wrong. Hopefully both you and Molly will have better health soon. Take it easy, Cathy x

I was just turning off the computer and something made me come here cuz I knew it wasn't like you to be quiet for so long. Sure enough. I'm so sorry, my friend. This is too soon for you to be having severe lung issues after your last bout! I don't understand why you didn't get admitted to the hospital and I hope if the shaking doesn't stop soon, you will call 911 and get an ambulance. At least call your family so someone can come and stay with you and help you and Molly. I do hope Molly is okay, too. Crap. I wish I wasn't so far away. Shoot me an email as soon as you can to let me know how you are. I imagine it is impossible for you to talk on the phone with the coughing. Sending love and hugs and LOTS of prayers!! Darnell

Darnell is so right Brenda! You really should have someone to be there and help you out while you recover. Or even be in hospital. Sending love and hugs.

Oh Brenda, so sorry you are ill. I agree with Darnell and Di, you shouldn't be on your own. Don't wait two days to go back to ER if your symptoms are getting worse either. I hope you and Molly both recover soon. Sending a big (((hug))) across The Pond. xx

Oh dear Brenda I’m so sorry that you are having such a bad start to the New Year. I do hope you feel better soon when the meds start to work. As both Darnell and Di have said, you really should be in hospital or have someone with you to help. Sending you big hugs and healing thoughts xxx

Well, I've got a cold, but couldn't have given it to you since I'm too far away--unfortunately! I'd wear a mask & come help if I could as I'm great compared to you! Seriously, CALL YOUR SONS!! They love you & think how'd you'd feel if they needed help & didn't call you! So, so sorry you're starting 2018 this way & I pray you & Molly are OK soon, my friend!

Brenda, I hope you are feeling better soon. Didn't your Doctor give you pneumonia shots? Gosh you would think he would have for your protection. Like everyone said above, hope your family can stay with you to drive you around and just be with you. Sounds scary about Molly, chocolate is not good for puppies.

Oh Brenda, how awful you must be feeling. There's a lot of us unwell lately, but you sound a whole lot worse, seriously! Please take care, and get help if you're no better. You shouldn't have had to go get your meds, and poor Molly to worry about too, that's just too much. Thinking of you xxxxxxxxxx

Oh dear, I am NOT liking to read this. I hope the meds have helped you by today (1-10). I know this is bad stuff and makes you feel like throwing in the towel. I hope you have a neighbor who can come in to see about you or drive you if you need to make an ER visit. Not fun to be out in such cold weather with what you are dealing with. Saying prayers that you can shake this nasty stuff really quickly. Wish I could help you. Hugs & Prayers.

Oh Brenda, I'm so sorry that you are so sick! It's been that kind of winter and a lot of people have had pneumonia. I had it once and it took me a month before I was better and could work-I was in my mid to late 20's, so I was a healthy gal back then. I can't even imagine having it now at your age! Did you get the shot??? If not, you might want to ask your doctor about the pneumonia shot. I can't imagine shaking so bad like that either. You have had a hard time of it Brenda and I'm so sorry. I will keep you in my prayers that things will improve and stay improved for you! Can't you get your meds delivered to you??? I know our local Pharmacy will deliver meds for a small fee of $2.00. Well worth it so you don't have to go out, please check and see if anyone delivers. You shouldn't have had to go and pickup meds in 9 degree weather! Oh poor Molly-I hope she is doing better too since her chocolate bar snack! No chocolate isn't good for dogs-she probably had a belly ache, but hopefully she is well now. I hope your family can help you out some Brenda! Big hugs, Brenda
