My SIL and I are going to visit Bill's aunt today. She has dementia so this will be a hard visit. I don't think she will know who we are but we need to do this. I went to the Dr. yesterday because my left shoulder has been hurting for quite a while. I wanted to rule out a rotator cuff tear or anything serious. The bursa is inflamed and I got a cortisone shot with PT to do at home. That starts in three days. So I am relieved it was not worse.

Todays card is made with die cuts sent to me by a wonderful friend. I sponged one with worn lipstick, one with broken china ink and one in antique linen, then layered them. The image and sentiment are SU. Be kind to one another.

  2. Lovely card Brenda. Hope your visit is not as difficult as you think it will be. Bursitis is painful, I had it in the hip but the injection did work.

  5. So sorry your visit is not one that you are looking forward to but I am sure no matter what knowing that someone has come to see them is a great feeling. And, your card is wonderful too. Hope you get to feeling better as well.

  6. I hope the visit today to Bill's Aunt wasn't as hard as you anticipated, Brenda. It will be good to have done it. I'm really delighted that the shoulder diagnosis wasn't worse and I hope the pain goes away in no time with the shot and the PT. I'm also really delighted with this Easter card which happened to drop through my Happy Mail slot today! It is WAY cooler in person than it appears here! Thank you so much, my friend!! Love and hugs, Darnell

  7. I'm sorry about Bill's aunt, Brenda. I hope the visit goes as well as it can. I am also glad your shouldn't isn't anything serious, but pray that the shot and PT will do the trick and rid you of the pain. I know I'm having pain in my elbow area, tendinitis but have a thing that I wear to help it. OMGosh Brenda, you are a genius!!! I never even thought about inking the layers like you did! I LOVE IT!!!! What a beautiful card and I love the egg and sentiment. Made me laugh!! Well done my friend!!! Hugs, Brenda

  8. This type of visit is indeed, a difficult & so sad one. But whether she knows you or not, YOU know you went to see her, and that's important. Love the beautiful look of this pretty layered card. Cute little chick and the sentiment is delightful! Hope the shot helps a lot, and that PT will do the final steps to getting you back to no pain!TFS & Hugs...also Happy Easter.
