Today's card is homework for the Online Heat Wave class. I embossed the flowers in white embossing powder and flicked water on the cardstock and added more embossing powder and heat set it.  I am obviously not good at flicking since it didn't go where I wanted it to. The hello was sponged with three blues of distress ink and the twine is blue and white in my stash. I am entering this card into the http://cas-ualfridays.blogspot.com/ this week for tic-tac-toe. I used twine, monochromatic and no pattern paper. Be kind to one another and let's ask for every one to do the same.

Super cute card, Brenda! I love the embossed flicking--never would have thought to do that!

Your post made me laugh Brenda - I never attempt any flicking as it always goes everywhere, other than the place I want it to! The white embossing looks so lovely and clean against the blue - thanks for playing along at CAS-ual Fridays!

I am loving your card Brenda! I don't flick very well either, I try and just take what I get. lol Now am I understanding this right? You flicked your water on your card and then added the embossing powder in white and heat set it??? I didn't know you could do that! I'm in awe. Anyway I love how your card came out, the white against that navy background is so striking and I simply love the splatters even though you didn't get them where you wanted them. They still look awesome! Love the ombre "hello" and the twine finishes it the card off perfectly! Hugs, Brenda

Great look with the homework. (I can't flick the water well either. Don't get enough or else get too much and it splotches. Not good splots either!) Love the look on the ombre embossing. TFS & Hugs
