Tough day today. It would be our 49th anniversary. The boys have been great about helping me through it. I am going to my sons early evening to see my granddaughter get ready for her first dance. It is 8th grade and her girlfriends are coming home with her after school to get ready together. That will be so much fun for them so I'm happy to be part of a fun time. Then after they are dropped off at school, we will go out for dinner.

Yesterday it was capri's and tee shirts, tomorrow 38 degrees! It's hard to decide what to put on everyday. It's nice outside but the house hasn't warmed up yet so it's chilly inside. I'll be glad when it makes up it's mind about what temp to be. The card today is for my girlfriends birthday tomorrow. We have been friends for over 40 years and live close to each other. This is a SU die cut mounted on an acetate sheet. I sponged the background paper with DI in yellow, pinks and orange with a touch of lavender. . The picture was taken on top of my craft cabinet marble top. It was hard to get a picture without reflection. Be kind to one another

What a pretty card Brenda and such lovely colours - I bet your girlfriend will absolutely love it!

I hope today goes OK for you, as Greta says - it's good that you're to be part of fun with the girls. Thinking of you and sending extra special hugs.

Love, Di xxx

Gorgeous background for your card. The colour combo is lovely. Glad your spending the day with family. The girl opposite us had her prom dance last July and her friends came over to dress up and get ready together. Their house is all paved over on the front garden so they had their photo shoot in my front garden instead which was a mass of flowers at the time. Hugs Mrs A.

Don't you just love SU's Rose Wonder??? The die and stamp make really nice cards. Thanks for stopping by today...always nice to have visitors. I am commenting on Microsoft Edge....IE and Google Chrome don't work for me. I finally figured out the problem I was having. You are blessed that you have your family to help you through these hard times. Have a good rest of the day.

Can image it was a bit of a difficult day for you to get through, so I'm glad you had some 'happy' to look forward to. Tomorrow is another day, and another milestone behind you. Your card is just lovely. The SU rose die looks marvelous atop that dreamy background. Just recently used that die, and it's so pretty! Good job, and it's good to see you crafting again. Your friend will love this one too. Hugs & TFS. Hope the weekend is good for you, with some nice weather.

I bet it was a rough day. Hugs, my friend. I know what you mean about the weather. We sat through soccer games Saturday morning and about froze. The temp was in the 40's and windy....brrr! Very pretty card for your friend.

I hope you managed to enjoy the first dance festivities (and the weekend) and I'm glad that your boys helped distract you from the terrible sadness on your anniversary. It's hard for me to believe you would have been married 49 years! Was it legal for Bill to marry a 12 year old?!! Doesn't seem right to me! Just trying to make you smile, my friend. Sending you noodles of hugs and absolutely loving your pretty card!! I hope you have lots of consistently (italicized) warm days this week! Love and hugs, Darnell

I know of the sadness you felt on your anniversary Brenda, as I had the same when mine and Dwayne's anniversary was over Valentines. Our anniversary was the 13th and then of course Valentines was the next day. We always celebrated both today, so it was very hard. I am glad you had your granddaughter's dance to help distract you some. I know it doesn't distract all the way, but hope it helped some. The weather is bouncing all over the place here too, had to turn the heat on last night as we were in the 30's last night. Never know what to put on to wear each day and like you I will be glad when the weather makes up it's mind. Your card is just beautiful Brenda! I love that die and it has been calling my name for a while now, but haven't bought it. Love the colors you used and I know your friend will love this card too! Hugs, Brenda
